We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, even more beautiful than the photos show! We came with our grown children and their spouses to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and the fact that each one had their own bedroom and that we could share the main living areas was fantastic. The kitchen was well supplied and we were able to cook a few breakfasts before walking out. Plenty of space for all 6 of us. And having a parking space was a big bonus!
Great location as we could walk into Dublin city center or find great places to eat within the area. Ultan and Deborah are fantastic hosts and made us feel so comfortable, that this was our "home away from home". They shared so much information, that we felt so prepared to head out and discover Ireland. And we always knew they were a phone call away if we needed assistance. Thank you both for all your kindness.
I would highly recommend this rental home to other travelers.
My husband and I, with our two young children, stayed here for four nights in August. The house is very clean, with all necessary amenities. Decor is modern and bright. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very nice experience.
We were very pleased to be able to walk to the city center. Bus stops are near for those that do not desire to get as much walking in. We did have a rental car for day trips outside of the city but if all you are interested in is Dublin, no car would be needed. The house was great and the neighborhood felt safe during the daytime. We very much appreciated the laundry supplies, coffee, puzzles, and the ice in the freezer:) I did notice that this is listed as 2 baths but actually the downstairs bathroom is only 1/2 bath so there is only one shower upstairs. Wasn't an issue for us at all. The owners were very helpful, providing great directions and recommendations. We weren't able to get to all the places but the ones we did get to visit were on point. We felt like we got to see the true Dublin, not just the touristy stuff:) Would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks Ultan and Deborah, you guys were awesome!
This house could not be any better. It is in a great central location, exceptionally well decorated, and has everything you need for a perfect stay. The hosts are very responsive and friendly. We would stay here again without a doubt.
Ultan was the perfect host ensuring that all arrangements were made prior to our arrival with full information on address/directions and recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. The house was a real home from home with lots of thoughtful touches and extras which made us feel very welcome and comfortable there. The open plan living was ideal for our family and we loved the local area- eating a delicious brunch in Bibi's and walking along the canal to St Stephen's Green. Thank you so much for a lovely stay- we hope to return when we are next visiting family in Dublin.
We enjoyed our stay at Ultan's house. It was a great location very convenient. The house itself was so comfortable and easy to stay in, everything you could possibly need. Ultan advice on places to eat and drink in the neighborhood were spot on.
It was a joy and a privilege to stay in this home. The quality and cleanliness was first rate. The neighborhood was quiet and the location very private. Bus routes were nearby and taxis easy to call for and prompt. We got groceries at the Tesco Express and had an excellent dinner one night at The Locks at the end of the street as Ultan recommended. Twice we had the best fish and chips ever at The Headliner Pub just down the road.
Our days were packed with activities and we welcomed coming home to this great place every night.
Ultan was very easy to communicate with and although I never had to call him, I felt that there would be no problem if I did. I only wish I would be coming back to Dublin so I could stay here again.
PS. Our taxi driver from the airport recommended Kilmainham Gael which was very worthwhile but you do need to make a reservation in advance online. We also took an all day trip through Viator to The Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. The price is right, the bus clean and comfortable and the driver informative. There are stops at interesting places every two hours including coastal views and access that are amazing. A real bonus was taking the black taxi tour in Belfast with an up close and personal one hour tour of the areas of Belfast affected by the many years of fighting and how there are still remnants today.
