“Fantastic Food, Fantastic Service, Fantastic Location”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

While staying at the Merrion Hotel for a weekend break we booked a table at the fantastic Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud. This is Ireland's only 2 Michelin star restaurant and we were really looking forward to the experience. We were not disappointed.

The restaurant is beautiful inside with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The dress is smart casual but not fussy, some people were in jeans but most people dressed for the occasion. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The food (the reason we wanted to go to this restaurant) was flawless, beautifully cooked with exceptional ingredients. It was a fantastic experience.

Mr. Guilbaud was present on the night and introduced himself at every table which was a nice touch. This is an expensive restaurant but worth it for the experience and quality of the food and service. If you are after a real culinary treat, look no further.

The food and service was absolutely amazing and fully lived up to expectations, quite honestly the best meal I have eaten! Lobster ravioli, Wicklow Lamb & chocolate torte, absolutely delicious!

“Wonderfull experience”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Visited this restaurant for a Birthday Lunch recently. Overall it was an exceptional experience from start to end. We were made to feel very welcome and were not once rushed. The service is exceptional. The whole experience is like watching a show and everything is done to near military precision.

The food was very tasty and when we left at about 5pm having been there since before our 2pm reservation we were stuffed. The wine list is huge and has to be put on a stand beside you as its quite heavy. For people trying to price a visit to include wine etc; the cheapest bottle starts at €50 upwards and I think a glass starts at €15. A bottle of still water is €6.

We went out to the outdoor terrace to have our Petit Fours and finish our wine and relax. Not once through our visit was the staffs attention taken off us. They are very attentive but yet not intrusive. I will certainly be sure to visit again soon it is somewhat addictive the whole experience.

I have uploaded a number of photos to try and give you a look behind these famous doors. It is most defiantly worthy of its 2* Michelin Stars.

“Wonderful experience”
Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

Extremely attentive staff and wonderfully presented food. We went for a lunchtime sitting and took our time over the 4 courses, never feeling rushed. We were celebrating a birthday and they presented us with a candlelit dessert with a very subtle touch. Really impressed by the service and welcome by management.

“Beautiful food and fab service”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

We had dinner there recently to celebrate my husbands 40th
The service was superb.
The food was divine and the wine pairing was exceptional.
There was nothing I could find to fault ... we even had a few words with Patrick when he came around to check on the tables; a lovely touch that you don't see in many restaurants, but should be more commonplace in high quality establishments
