“Excellent value, great service”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Three of us went here last week after work. The restaurant has recently been tastefully refurbished and the menu updated with lots of tasty treats. We all opted for the EUR17.95 four-course meal which consisted of starter, main, rice, naan, dessert (choc cake and ice cream) and coffee. The food was great and the service from both the manager and the waitress perfect. Excellent value, we'll definitely be back.

“Your 17 euro meal will magically turn into 35-40 euro in a heartbeat.”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

The food was ok, but probably the bottom five /50 for Indian restaurants worldwide. I got the standard tourist treatment of "let's get you to order the full course of rice naan etc.." and then stick you with the bill. oh, and don't forget the occasional cry-me-a-river recession line. This place is a no go with the fake smile to boot. If you do go here, watch their reaction when you try and add up the bill.

“We love this place!”
Reviewed May 12, 2012

The other half and I have been to the Punjab Balti a few times and every single time we go we absolutely adore it. Service is second to none, quality of the food is amazing, selection on the menu is huge (we never know what to have, there is so much to choose from!) The manager and waiters cannot do enough for you. It is warm and cosy and typically Indian-style without feeling contrived or fake as a lot of Indian restaurants do. My final point is that the toilets are completely spotless which is always good to see. We just love Punjab Balti and look forward to our next visit!

“Great take away”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

Excellent spot for take away in Ranelagh. Variety of Punjabi Indian food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I was impressed by the early bird offer but did not have time to eat in - it may however be lacking atmosphere.

Recommended to all who enjoy a curry.

“Great value Indian restaurant in Ranelagh Village”
Reviewed September 17, 2011

I regularly come here with a friend of a weekday evening for a bite to eat.it's a nice little restaurant opposite superquinn in ranelagh! Their early bird menu is superb value, starter, main course with rice, glass of wine/beer and tea/coffee for €16!!!

The only down side to hear is that you are sometimes waiting a little bit longer for your courses than in other similar places, food is very tasty when it arrives so you don't mind too much. It also gives you a chance to talk.

Would recommend to anyone who like Indian food or is looking for a great value bite to eat after work!!!
