Really nice pub to have a drink and while you are there at 7pm everyday you will be able to see Frank and Colm at the Literary Pub Crawl at the first floor!

We ducked into the Duke to get out of the rain! A lovely and quite large pub near Grafton Street. We arrived at 11am so it was quiet as we missed the breakfast and lunch time crowds. Very happy to be served full pints (for a great price) at 11am and there was plenty of room to dry off our jackets and umbrellas :)

The Duke has a great atmosphere and isn’t full of the usual tourists paying over the top for a pint of Guinness. You will pay under £4 a pint and food is very well priced and tradition. Serves is great and very friendly. If you can beat the regulars to a seat round the fire you can settle in for the whole evening.

The Duke is a pub with great ambience. It is just off Grafton Street and the starting and ending point for the Literary Pub Crawl. Probably my favorite event in Dublin.

Much less touristy than the temple bar region.

Our first day in Dublin found us strolling at lunch time. We chose The Duke on a whim and the food and service were outstanding -- the perfect introduction to Irish pubs and a fun way to begin our stay in Ireland. Convenient to Grafton Street and so much more.
