Fantastic service, staff were very helpful both in giving directions and in sorting a new room for us due to tv not working, without asking ,we were moved to a new room.It was a mothers day present for me and my girls and we booked a treble room and it was very spacious,a credit to the housekeeping staff for the cleanliness.there was just no way I could find fault with the service we received on this trip..would I stay again ..Yes.

Room Tip: "Higher floors have less A/C unit noise"we were on floor 5

This hotel seems like an efficiency hotel its ok. in the bathroom there is a soap on the wall, and soap on the wall in the shower. no conditioner and no lotion, no hair dryer. TV on the wall about a 20 inch flat screen. Wifi is ok but requires you to log in each time. The room was clean but the carpet probably needs to be cleaned. we stay here as part of a gate 1 tour. this is the hotel when you arrive in Ireland and the hotel when you leave Ireland. Front staff was nice.

Dear Denise,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on tripadvisor.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad that you found the hotel to staff to be so helpful.

We have begun getting all carpets in the hotel professionally treated a number of weeks ago and we hope to have every room completed in the coming weeks.

Hair dryers are available in all rooms in the top drawer of the dressing table. I have asked accommodation to audit each room to ensure no hair-dryers are missing.

We thank you once again for your review and we hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future.

Kind Regards

Philip Uzice

We were here for two nights in Dublin at the end of our trip to Ireland. We were looking for something near city center that was reasonably priced. Never having been to Dublin before, we relied on research to determine where good locations were. In hindsight as tourists, we should have stayed closer to the river. This place was within reasonable walking distance of things, but if you can find something closer to the river in your price range, go for it.

The hotel greeted us well and front desk people were competent and polite. The room was clean and basic, and wifi worked well.

A few things kind of bothered us.
1. The walls were really thin, so we heard TVs all night.
2. The double bed we requested was two bumpy twins shoved together, which was a bit annoying.
3. The shower was absolutely annoying. The curtain rod was installed too far into the shower, so the curtain literally wrapped around you while trying to shower - it was disgusting and frustrating.

If the price is good for you and you don't mind walking, this place was ok to sleep and was in a reasonable safe area to walk as long as it was light outside. They offer breakfast for an additional cost, but we declined as there are lots of places to find breakfast nearby.

This motel is only a few blocks from O'Connell st which is the main st in DUBLIN. The restaurant was quite good and their IRISH breakfast had the freshest BEST CROISSANTS! Make sure you eat lots of the brown bread and the newest item is GUINNESS BROWN BREAD! Perfect!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor. The rooms were very quiet wherever you are.

My husband and I chose this hotel because of its central location, price, and the fact that it was a modern hotel. We've heard a lot of complaints on TA regarding the noise in central Dublin, and we reasoned that a modern hotel would have air-conditioning, thus no need to open windows should the room get stuffy during our July stay. We were completely satisfied with the Maldron hotel. Our communications before arrival were great, our early check-in was graciously accommodated, and we were happy, later, to use their secure luggage storage area for a couple of hours upon checking out. The room was spotless. No complaints whatsoever.

We loved this hotel. Clean and spacious rooms.
Generous and well-tasting breakfast.
Very friendly staff. Rather close to Dublin city center.
A lot of good pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood.
Bus to the airport was a few meters from the hotel.

The hotel is located close to Central and various attractions. One is able to walk to almost any destination, however public transport is available if someone doesn't want to walk. The only minus point was that we could hear the traffic noises and woke us up early in the mornings. A fridge in the room would have been nice as the weather was quite hot and it would have been nice to keep ones drinks cool. All in all the hotel was nice and would possibly stay there again.
