“Stellar location and service”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

I stayed at this Radisson Blu while in Dublin for business where the room, location and services surpassed all expectations. Location: easy access to restaurants, pubs and shopping. The nearby gym (complementary to guest) was very convenient and had nice amenities (eg sauna on a damp and chilly Dublin afternoon).

Breakfast selection was superb where music and service set the day right. Saving the best for last, the room was modern, spacious and offered awesome views of the city. Many thanks to the staff for making my Dublin stay an excellent one and hope to be back soon!

I spent a weekend at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, while visiting Dublin. The location and hotel are outstanding, and the room was fantastic for the price. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was awesome. It was only a short walk from the Radisson to the Temple Bar, Stephens Green, and other top locations. If I return to Dublin (and I hope I do), I will definitely stay at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel.

I had a morning meeting in St. Stephens Green so needed to stay somewhere close the night before. Not wanting to pay the ridiculous rates of Stephens Green hotels I choose here based on the recommendation of a friend who works in Dublin. I have become a big fan of radisson as of late. I stayed in their Cavan property earlier this month and in their Cork and Dubai properties last year. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to one of their business class rooms so benefited from an espresso machine, bottled water, upgraded toiletries and a fruit plate just to name a few Additional anenities. I arrived late and left early so didn't have time for breakfast which was a shame. I did have room service when I arrived and that was the only let down. It was luke warm as oppose to hot and I felt the menu was lacking. This is more of an observation than a criticism. Check in and check out were both fast, efficient and friendly. I paid for car parking and then decided to go meet a friend for lunch in town and they were kind enough to let me stay an additional hour. The hotel is a short walk to St. Stephens Green and it really is a lovely walk. This hotel is comfortable, stylish, has a great team and location. It is good value and provides parking at 10 euro per night which is good value for its location. Apparently there are leisure facilities but I did not get a chance to use them, next time though!

Had the most amazing time in Dublin. It's perfect location next to Dublin castle. 2-3 mins to grafton street shopping shopping and the beautiful park to. Temple bar is a little walk but lovely after a nice meal out or breakfast hehe :) can't wait to go back all staff friendly. Rooms very clean and modern. Loved the whole experience can't wait to return. Dragon bar is a must for all them wanting that!! :)

Travelled to Dublin during a family weekend getaway. We do not regret choosing this hotel for our stay. Check in was efficient and done my a serviceminded trainee. Dinner in the restaurant was actually quite good, €30 for a 2-course dinner. Stayed in a business class room on the 6th floor. The room wasn't huge, but the size of the bathroom was okay. Good wifi and excellent breakfast buffet in the morning. Would I stay again? Most definitely yes! Slept with the window open, and there was some noise from the outside of the hotel at night, and the extra bed wasn't all that comfy. Pillows could have been firmer, but that's just personal preference.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor, and maybe not one that is facing Golden Lane.

This hotel looks and feels brand new. The exterior is nothing special, but the interior is modern and fresh.

I had a standard room, which was spacious and compfortable. Extra bonus points for having a modern design, which I am personally a fan of.

Safe, minibar and ironing board in the room. Breakfast was impeccable.

I will definitely be staying here the next time I'm in town.

Only drawback: I had to wait 10 minutes to check in, because there appeared to be only one receptionist on duty at the time and she was on the phone(!).

Stayed here for 2 two night stays on Radisson points during a trip to Ireland. Could not say better things about this hotel. It is in a great location for central Dublin, where almost every major sight is easily within walking distance. The only thing we had to use a bus or cab for was the Kilmainham gaol, but the Temple Bar, St Stephens Green, Grafton Street, Trinity College, St Patricks Cathedral, etc, were all EASILY walkable. The hotel is clean and modern, with a simple but sharp looking lobby. Every staff member I dealt with was super friendly and overall top notch.

We were upgraded both times to a business class room, which includes breakfast and other minor things like free PPV movies in the room. This was very impressive, since I was A) on an award stay...and some chains do not respect any kind of benefits on award stays (I am looking at you IHG) and B) I am only a gold Club Carlson member, and most chains do not upgrade mid tier elites. The breakfast was very good as well, offering a variety of typical hot irish breakfast items, as well as a very good assortment of breads, with cold cuts, fruits, yogurts, etc, along with 5 or 6 juices.

The rooms were clean and spacious enough. The bathrooms had a tub and a separate shower, which was large enough for 2 to stand in. The beds were comfortable, although I will say, they use 2 separate comforters, which are laid side by side in the bed, when made into a queen size bed, which was quite odd. No CNN on the TV, but a decent enough amount of channels.

Overall, I had ZERO complaints of any substance here. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Dublin, in fact, it would be my first choice. For my first major leisure stay at a Radisson property, this hotel did a fantastic job of impressing me. To be taken care of on a paid stay the way we were would be great, even more on an award stay. Top notch.
