“Nice Hotel, Great Location”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Radisson Blu Royal for a long weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very nice and very clean. We stayed in a business class room and there was plenty of room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with a separate shower and bathtub. It was nice to take a bath after a long day in the rain and cold. With the business class room we received free pay-per-view movies, free wifi, and free breakfast. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was also very nice and helpful. They helped me to get an emergency dental appointment and to schedule an all day sightseeing tour. I did not go to the fitness facility, but my husband used it and really liked it. It was a very short walk from the hotel, but a large fitness facility with everything you could want. Finally, the location is superb. Within walking distance to everything you want to visit, but just far enough away from the Temple Bar not to be bothered by the noise. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Dublin.

Room Tip: Spend the extra for a business class room.

The hotel is wall kong distance from Temple bar, from St. Patrick cathedral. The hotel has all the standardok that Radisson can has, the only inconvenience is that for the fitness and swimming pokol you have to go to a fitness center, not so far from the hotel, but still outside. The breakfast is correct, you have fresh newspapers entering to the breakfast venue. The bar is excellent, of course with Guiness and Bulmers cider, but also with a nice choice of whiskey. The rooms are big enough, bed is confortable and have free wifi all around the hotel,,including our room. Definitive would return to this hotel.

I just spent a night here and it feels like this hotel has the best of both worlds in terms of location. It's very close to Grafton Street, where all the shops and restaurants are located. That's just a short walk away (with plenty of restaurants and shops along the way). At the same time, in the other direction, it's close to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Dublin Castle. What this location really has in its favor is that is somehow just around the block from all the action so it remains very quiet. There is certainly no shortage of loud, inebriated people in this part of town but the hotel feels insulated from that.

The rooms are top-notch. They feel brand new, modern and clean.

I visit this hotel on a regular basis and in general it ticks all the boxes i like it because it has space and has modern facilites, but i happened to visit last week when the wireless was playing havoc and i needed a charger for my iphone plus i needed a taxi to go into town for a meeting. i approached the reception and decided to kill the three birds with the one stone, so i said that my wireless in room wasnt working, i needed a charger and i needed a taxi .....i did this very politely and in a soft manner however the reception must have been having a bad day and i got very very negative answers in return none of my queries were sorted and when i checked out the following morning i decided that despite my years staying there if front of house is not in order and they decide to take it out on the customer il find another hotel and thats what im doing....has anyone else come across anything like this cause i found it strange after 5 years staying there 4 times a months??

Stayed for 5 nights for a conference and the adjacent St Patrick's weekend. 4 1/2 years after my first visit this hotel is at the same impeccable condition. We had a very nice room on the 5th floor real spacious, modern, relaxing and with a large bathroom.. An it was very, very quiet. We missed slippers, which are sometimes provided in hotels of similar standards.Location is very convenient, close to Craft Street, Temple, and St Patrick's Cathedral. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Room service was very fast. The burger from the room service menu was very good, but the green salad, though nice, was extremely small and expensive. The breakfast buffet was nice with great choice. However the coffee was really bad (try the american, is little better then the standard filter coffee). Since one of our bags arrived one day later, we asked for painkiller but the hotel could not provide, due to local prohibitive regulations! Despite the minor negative comments, overall a very good experience, would definitely stay again.
