By far my favorite hotel on my recent tour of Ireland. The room was like a great city apartment in the middle of the city. The "rain" shower was terrific; great therapy on the first day from the states with a missed night's sleep. Got the buffet breakfast and my only disappointment in Ireland was that no other hotel matched the food quality of my first day. Everything was just a bit better here. Give the hotel top ranks on all levels.

Stayed here for business on a Friday night, was upgraded to a business class room and was delighted with my entire stay.

My trip was sponsored but If I could afford to stay here myself it would always be my Dublin city hotel choice.

The surrounding area however seemed a bit rough at night so I wouldn't walk alone at night or park on street but can't fault the hotel security and parking.

Brilliant location nearby bars and restaurants.. we preferred not to stay in or near temple bar, but it is still only a short walk from here. rooms are clean and cosy, with the bathroom being excellent.

Did not get a chance to use the facilities.
Krisztina B deserves a special mention for being so kind and helpful with room cleaning. Gyorgy leka and lukasz should also be rewarded for their front desk help and hospitality.

This hotel will continue to have me as a guest in times ahead.

Really nice hotel in an excellcent location for dublin city centre, it is close to Grafton Street & St Georges Street which has numerous nice bars and pubs to try. Hotel and room was very clean, service was great and they allowed us to check in early which was a nice touch. Rooms very spacious and has free wi fi which is a bonus!

This hotel is the best value, first class hotel in Dublin, the service is exceptional, the location is the best possible for Town centre, and Castle. Some people have written 10 minute walk to Temple Bar, so what! the town is 2 minutes away.
The Bus tour is 2 minutes away, that takes you everywhere, the area around the Hotel is very safe, and within 200 metres there's more restaurants, cafes and Bars, than you could ever visit.
Well done Radisson Blu Royal Hotel. We will be back!!

Room Tip: Just be polite, the staff are great

Modern purpose-built hotel, (opened 2007), run by well-respected US hotel chain, (note Swedish SAS are no longer a shareholder).

Location, two minutes walk from St Patrick’s Cathedral, five minutes walk from Grafton Street, (Dublin’s main shopping area) and 10/15 minutes walk from the bar/Club area – Temple Bar, is convenient and safe at night. (Unlike some areas in central Dublin, which aren’t).

Standard rooms are large for a city-centre hotel with good, very comfortable, super-king size beds and large bathrooms with shower and separate bath. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily: maintenance of rooms is first class. Although the hotel is five years’ old we could have been the first guests to use our room. How often is a hotel carpet a bit stained or the bathroom just a bit grubby – our room was immaculate. I could not fault it.

Check-in is 2pm but our room was available at 11am. Luggage storage is available for guests arriving early.

Polite and helpful staff.

We stayed for four nights and ate once in the restaurant. Very nice food and pleasant service. I now regret not choosing the oysters, which look good value for money.

My criticism of the hotel is that I think the public areas including the restaurant and bar are lacking in character. There are hundreds of restaurants in Dublin catering for all tastes and most now offer very good value for money. To attract guests to stay in the hotel rather than just using the bedrooms, Radisson will have to offer guests more. I understand there is use of a nearby Spa for example, but we were not told about this when we booked, likewise the hotel does not offer any incentive to use its facilities. So we didn’t!

As a place to stay, very good and recommended, but with a bit more imagination this could be a really top class hotel.

There are 3 Radissons in and around Dublin so make sure you're going to the right one!
If you make it safely to the downtown Radisson Blu Royal you'll be made welcome by friendly, predominantly Eastern European staff at a modern, very comfortable and well appointed businesss hotel a short walk from the city centre.

The lack of an on-site gym and pool is perhaps the only major let-down - free use of the slighty faded facility around the corner partially compensates.
