Recently my sister and I traveled to Ireland with our fist two nights in Dublin. After a long flight and coming to an unknown place Terry the owner, gave us a very warm welcome. Even though the rooms are small they are clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served in a charming sunny room, and was delicious. Terry and Debbie were very charming and welcoming. Great vallue.

My sister and I stayed at the Donnybrook on arrival in Dublin. We booked two nights and found the owner Terry to be so sweet and helpful. He treated us like friends and his daughter Debbie was also very helpful, Delicious breakfast. We had a twin room upstairs and Terry lugged our extremely heavy luggage up the stairs and down again when we left. The room was very clean but very tiny for two people and all our luggage. It was a nice quiet location.

I have now stayed at Donnybrook Hall on numerous occasions and will continue to do so. Terry is a very welcoming host and is a mine of information in terms of the locality and Dublin in general. The rooms are always well presented, beds comfortable and the breakfasts are plentiful and varied. This hotel is well positioned for travelling into the City or the Airport, but is off the main road and therefore quiet. I've never had a problem staying there.

We've stayed here for 4 days in early September. We had a twin room upstairs and it was very clean and comfortable. Every breakfast was cooked the way we wanted as Terry will ask your preference every time. The staff was always ready to help us with our tour or transit information. Because it is in the residential area room was very quiet.
There is a bus stop nearby at end of the street that comes every 10 min. and will take you to the heart of down town in 15min. There is a Tesco at the corner of the street where I could buy band-aid,snacks, and bottled water. We got a tip from the staff at Tesco to dine at Kielys pub for 'good food' and can't tell you otherwise. We went Howth one afternoon and had a lovely hiking over the cliff that made the most memorable event in Dublin.
I will surely return to Donnybrook Hall Hotel.

Room Tip: I asked the two beds and the room was big in European standard

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of September, it's a lovely, good value b&b. We got a very warm welcome from the owner, who offered us any assistance and information we might need for our stay.

We had a ground floor double room at the back of the property. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It was also very quiet. It's on a nice residential street and there was no noise from the main road round the corner or from the other rooms at the hotel.

It is located a little way out of the city centre, it took around 35-40 minutes to walk to the south of the centre. The bus only takes about 10 minutes and was fairly frequent, costing about 2 euros per trip. It is also possible to get a bus direct to the b&b from the airport, so it was really easy to find. This took about 30 minutes and cost 8 euros.
