Description: Dorans on the Pier, the Howth fishing family, have 'spread their fins' to Killester village to bring you closer to the sea with a wide range of deliciously cooked seafood for your palate. In partnership with the Duignan's who are celebrating 50 years at the Beachcomber, Dorans have opened a seafood restaurant upstairs at this landmark establishment. We have identified where we feel there is a requirement for a restaurant in Killester which will offer something slightly different. We obviously are concentrating on seafood as this our forte. However we also have meat and vegetarian options. We pride ourselves in the quality of seafood we use and the way in which we prepare it for you. We hope you can almost smell and taste sea air as you enjoy your meal.

Doran s seafood was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed !
It's upstairs in the beachcomber pub on the Howth road and a stunning room.
Got a fantastic welcome from the two girls ( both called Jane!) . They were professional and friendly and I d go back for the service alone.
But the food was amazing. We shared starters , calamari & Louisiana wings! My pal had fish and chips and was NOT sharing! I had fillet of salmon with beet root pure, crushed potatoes and grilled courgette. These dishes were of such a high standard I felt almost guilty at the value! 20 e for 2 course or 24 e for 3 on the early bird.
The wine list is also extraordinary value , they serve a glass in a cute little carafe which is a really nice touch. I fancied red and the girls picked for me , a lovely Sangiovese . House Sauvignon for my friend .
To finish we shared a warm hazelnut brownie that tasted like a ferreo rocher ! Yum!
So happy to have a local restaurant of such a high calibre. Looking forward to returning. : ))))
