On arrival requested a quiet room but put into a smoking room (ugh), changed quickly with no hassle - but my new room had no remote for the TV. That being provided also efficiently. However on my wanderings about the corridors from room to room I saw a lot of cleaning bits and pieces laying around the floors, having to step around them that tends to give a poor impression especially at around 4 in the afternoon. Nice large room, lovely shiny bathroom, great storage, incredible bed. Much better than I expected from an airport hotel where people tend to stay one night - and I've been in many airport hotels. Overall pleased with food (a meal with my wife was excellent), continental breakfast, service - friendly and personal. Unfortunately the area is quite intimidating and maybe paranoid, but an amble to the bus stop which is about a km down the road means employing all your urban survival skills. Some people would say that this is still the most crime-ridden part of Dublin and give examples, and say you are better getting taxis. So City Centre not as accesible as I had hoped - taxi up to 20 euro. I must say that I clung to my lap-top tightly when switching to a hotel down the road for a few hours to use their wi-fi when our's failed. Note Ikea is a good 20 minutes walk away in the other direction, The superb Northwood housing/office/hotel/retail development is closer in that direction and has coffee shops, a launderette, a beautiful park and the gym (15 euro to guests but bring a padlock + sweat towel!!! - great steam room and lie-down jacuzzi's) etc. Worth highlighting that Reception staff are very keen to make your stay a good one - all you gota do is ask their advice. Deserve praise. Overall incredible value.
