“getting better bit by bit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2011

On arrival requested a quiet room but put into a smoking room (ugh), changed quickly with no hassle - but my new room had no remote for the TV. That being provided also efficiently. However on my wanderings about the corridors from room to room I saw a lot of cleaning bits and pieces laying around the floors, having to step around them that tends to give a poor impression especially at around 4 in the afternoon. Nice large room, lovely shiny bathroom, great storage, incredible bed. Much better than I expected from an airport hotel where people tend to stay one night - and I've been in many airport hotels. Overall pleased with food (a meal with my wife was excellent), continental breakfast, service - friendly and personal. Unfortunately the area is quite intimidating and maybe paranoid, but an amble to the bus stop which is about a km down the road means employing all your urban survival skills. Some people would say that this is still the most crime-ridden part of Dublin and give examples, and say you are better getting taxis. So City Centre not as accesible as I had hoped - taxi up to 20 euro. I must say that I clung to my lap-top tightly when switching to a hotel down the road for a few hours to use their wi-fi when our's failed. Note Ikea is a good 20 minutes walk away in the other direction, The superb Northwood housing/office/hotel/retail development is closer in that direction and has coffee shops, a launderette, a beautiful park and the gym (15 euro to guests but bring a padlock + sweat towel!!! - great steam room and lie-down jacuzzi's) etc. Worth highlighting that Reception staff are very keen to make your stay a good one - all you gota do is ask their advice. Deserve praise. Overall incredible value.

Early Bird Offer was more what you can get. Hotel is in good location, close to Airport and not far from City Centre. Surprise was on arrival to airport; shuttle bus driver was waiting us already in coach park. Trip to Hotel was short but pleasant. On check in receptionist was quick and competent. Only minus what we could mention that room what we got on check in was noisy facing main road. We booked Hotel over the weekend stay and another night with traffic noise…...well. Girl on the desk next Morning, Christal, was very quick to sort this out in efficient but helpful smiley way offering us another room. New room was great and we had comfy sleep. It made our stay very enjoyable; food in the restaurant is nice and breakfast with great selection. Overall I would recommend this Hotel to my friends and defiantly would go back.

The location is great, just under 10 minutes from Dublin Airport, the shuttle bus is very efficient & saves the unpredictability of taxis.

Rooms were clean & comfortable. Didn't shower at this hotel so can't comment on water pressure, but the water in the bathroom sink was slow to disappear. Also one of the spoons in the room had not been cleaned having been used by a previous guest but this was only a very minor issue & an easy oversight on the part of the cleaning staff.

The check-in lady was kind & efficient, both on check-in & out. One downside to the hotel is the hotel have very few parking spaces outside, there is however a guest car-park further down the street ( only two minutes walk) but in terms of safety the walk from the hotel to there & back could be worrying for a solo traveller. (Perhaps the area is perfectly safe but one never can tell)

One other minor problem was that the volume level on the TV is already set & was incredibly low in our room, impossible to lie in bed & watch tv, one would have to sit up right beside it which was very inconvenient.

All in all a decent hotel & I will use again if taking an early morning flight.

We stayed at the hotel before flying in the next morning for a week's holiday in France. We arrived by train in Dublin and took the bus to the airport, where we took the complimentary shuttle bus to get to the hotel. The staff was lovely once we arrived, the bus driver was also lovely and very chatty! :-)
We only payed €55 for 2 people without breakfast for the room and an extra €4 for the ride back to the airport in the morning. The shuttle bus leaves the hotel from 4am every hour up to 10pm every day, which is ever so convenient and you only need to book it at the reception. They drop you right in front of the terminal.
This is such a bargain when you compare it to any of the other airport hotels in Dublin (they were all asking in between €80 and €100)
The rooms were lovely, fresh, clean and new.
The hotel is located in a very calm spot, and even though I was a bit weary given the reputation of Ballymun, there was no problem whatsoever.
A great hotel for the value, service and location.

Room Tip: We required a non-smoking executive room

Having booked the airport parking as advertised on the website arrived at 5am with 10 month old son only to be told that there was no availability on the shuttle bus running from the airport. Had checked this the day before and told there was no problem. Told the only option was to pay for a taxi from the hotel to the airport, this completely negated the whole point of the airport parking. Was not offered our deposit back and had to go to alternative parking. Very disappointed with the level of service offered and would strongly advise other travelers to consider other options

The purpose of our trip was shopping and relaxing and we were delighted with our choice of hotel, which was very conveniently located opposite IKEA and a bus ride (every 15 mins) to City Centre. We were warmly greeted, promptly checked in, and delighted with our room. I must say it was terrific value at 99E total for two persons for two nights.
We plan to return soon. Thank You
