“15 Japanese students on exchange trip with Trinity”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

I booked my university students into this place because it was near Trinity, where we had business, and the room configuration meant my students would not have to share. The 15 boys and three girls all had their own ensuite. It was compact but fine for the 4 nights we were there. Michael at reception was helpful and professional, as were all the staff when we went. They are busy, but never seemed stressed, and were cooperative when one of our students took ill. It is a fantastic location right near O'Connel street and Temple Bar. If you read the poor reviews you'll see the problems are often other guests, but you'll get that in any hostel in a stag-favoured town. It seemed clean, comfortable and safe to me, and my students had no complaints.

The staff was incredibly helpful, the breakfast is about average for a hostel, and the location can't be beat. It's literally right across the river from Temple Bar, less than a block from O'Connell Street, and easy walking distance to many of the other attractions in Dublin.

Really the only negative is that the room we were in was quite narrow, but that was only a problem when almost all of us in the room were moving around in the morning getting ready at the same time.

We enjoy our night in this hostel. Very good located, the recepcionist was really nice with us.
The only thing is that the parking is very far from the hostel and it's a little bit expensive, but beside that everything was good.

Stayed here Saturday night with a group on 20 lads on a stag night. 20 euro for the room ( plus 25euro deposit ). Thought this was fair enough, few of the lads got rowdy during the night so no one got deposit back?? Hardly seems fair! Also 1 guy kicked out of the hostel and threatened to have the Garda called for him even though he had literally just got home through the door when the staff member came into our room!

Despite this, nice enough hostel, excellent location! I would recommend the bar beside (the bachelor) these are staff who really know how to treat visitors to the city!

We had booked a room for 4 beds for 2 nights and on arrival told we only had 2 beds for 2 nights. Completely compromised the staff were very helpful and tried hard to sort this out. Thankfully the 4 bed dorm had a spare for the first night but the second night we had 1 person left on an emergency camp bed squeezed into the room. A shame because the service from staff there was good and my review could have been much more positive. The place is busy and loud but the location is brilliant right in the heart of Dublin. Check your booking in advance would be my best advice.

This was a great location and very convenient to all the sights etc. I booked a private room with ensuite bathroom. This was in a seperate part of the hostel. Kind of like an apartment complex. The room was lovely and comfy also it was at the back of the building so I wasnt interupted by noise from traffic. I was given a wifi code. Which was great because then I could use my laptop.

I stayed there one night but it was very noisy. First the fire alarm went off and then later on in the night at about 4am I woke up to a lot of shouting and screaming going on in the hallway.

I didnt have breakfast there but staff were friendly and helpful and even kept my bag at the reception desk until I cam that evening to chek into room.

Also I had a problem with my card getting into the apartment area but it was resolved very quickly.

Room Tip: Get a room toward the back of the property not much noise from there but bring a pair of ear plugs b...

The staff was not helpful and without any patient, the bedroom awful with an exagerated amount of beds without any comfort to their guests. They are only interested on the money, no hostel athmosphere at all...
