Myself and my husband stayed in one of the private double rooms with ensuite. We don't usually stay in hostels, but hotels in central Dublin which are close to Temple Bar are ridiculously expensive and we figured we weren't going to Dublin to sit in our hotel room all day! The room was away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of the hostel and it was pretty quiet. The room was small, there's no getting away from that, but it was clean and that's what matters most to us. Theres no tv, no toiletries and no hair dryer. Again, didnt care about the tv, we just wanted a base which was close to the nightlife, so we took toiletries and hair dryer anyway. Was pleasantly surprised that they provide clean towels everyday, the bathroom is narrow and small with some cracked tiles etc, but again, cleanliness is very good. You leave the hostel and you're right out into the action, and with the amount of walking we did in Temple Bar, we were happy to just have to stroll back to our bed of an evening! The hostel is close to tourist bus routes and airport transfer stops as well as plenty of cheapest restaurants. Dublin is expensive, but the amazing music available for free in every pub makes the price of a pint very reasonable! All in all, I would stay in the hostel again, they were very helpful with storing our luggage before check-in (2.30pm) on arrival and the money we saved by not staying in a stupidly priced hotel was spent on some amazing experiences instead!
