We stayed here for one night. we found the hotel very easy to get to. Very central to grafton street and surrounding dublin. We parked in St. Stephens green shopping centre were they have a deal with the parking company very cheap.
On arrival we where greeted by a very nice chap on reception with a nice welcome check in was easy and quick. We found our room very spacious and very clean. We had food in the bar very friendly staff good service the Food could of been hotter but tasted good. Coffee excellent. we would recommend this hotel myself and my husband really enjoyed staying here we will be back.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a night out in Dublin, nice meal a couple of drinks and could not think of a better location than St.Stephens Green to base ourselves. We choose the O'Callaghan based purely on location and were were not disappointed by what awaited us inside. Check in was smooth and friendly with advice given on parking, the room was on the 3rd floor facing out so we had a view of the green but surprising quiet all the same. The room was clean and warm with a massive bed that could sleep an entire family ! Bathroom was well presented with an amusing note about requesting a "No Slippy" mat for the shower from reception if needed - it wasn't required as there are non slip strips on the base of the bathtub.

Breakfast was the usual buffet fare but the location was great, in a bit of a fishbowl on the corner of Harcourt street but watching the world go by as we had a leisurely breakfast set us up nicely for the stroll on Stephens Green .. it wasn't sunny or summer but it was a little bit of heaven following of 11 o'clock coffee ;-)

Hotel is in a great location. Grafton St, round the corner and some really nice bars nearby. Hotel services are good, didn't have breakfast due to previous reviews! Bathroom needs a little tlc and pillows where rubbish but on the whole rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We stayed at this O'Callaghan's location for three nights during our recent Dublin visit. There are several other locations around the city but I'm not familiar with them and so unable to offer a comparison. The best feature of this hotel is its location: walkable to nearly every attraction of interest, or to the tram. Our rooms on the 3rd floor were good sized and the king bed was a nice feature. There was a bit of street noise during the night-just normal traffic plus the usual happy folks heading home when the pubs close. Breakfast was part of our plan and it was adequate and typical. The hot food sits in chafing dishes and gets rather soggy after a while. The breakfast room has a huge fishbowl window that's nice and bright, but is showing its age as far as chipped paint. My biggest source of dissatisfaction was the tub showers, which have partial glass enclosures (see photo) that guarantee you will spray water all over the floor. We also did not have wifi included in our plan and paid about 12 euro for 48 hours, as I recall. There's a small workout room downstairs that's adequate, and staff were friendly enough. Did not evaluate the quality of a pint in the bar. We got a good rate on the rooms, and overall the experience was just fine, which for me translates to Average. I would need to see better food for a Very Good, and perhaps more staff energy, along with less bathroom water mess. I might stay here again--it would depend on the rate.

We stayed there for a weekend. As our plane was late on Friday night we arrived at the hotel around 1AM but the staff was really nice and we got our room immediately.
The room was lovely and very comfortable. The hotel is clean, quiet (even if it is downtown) and comfortable. After bringing the suitcases to our room we went for a late drink at the hotel's bar (opened until 2AM) which is really nice looking like an Irish pub.
The location is excellent as it is close to Grafton Street and Temple bar and of course St. Stephen's Green. During our 2 days of stay we did all the sightseeing walking.
Complete breakfast is really good.
I would recommend this hotel for someone who wants to visit Dublin by walking around the city.

Dear Fegender,

We are very grateful to you for posting your review on Tripadvisor.

Over the last couple of months we have had a number of negative comments about our breakfast. Along with the members of the food and beverage team, we have all worked very hard at improving the standards of our breakfast. It is very nice to read positive comments about this aspect of our hotel.

I very much look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel last weekend and could not fault the staff, hotel room or location. The staff were friendly and very helpful, allowing us to leave our suitcases with them whilst we went sightseeing. The hotel room was clean, smart and comfortable, a lovely big bed with fresh bedding. The location was brilliant for being central - st.stephen's green, grafton street, temple bar and o'connell's street were all within walking distance.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, however my only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the noise at night. I am unsure whether this was for the rooms either side of us or the street below. Either way it didn't upset us too much and didn't ruin our stay.

I stayed here on a spring weekend break. The hotel is - as many others have observed - in a great location just at the corner of Stephen's Green. It's two minutes on foot to all the shops and restaurants of Grafton Street, yet slightly removed from all the noise and hubbub.

The staff were friendly, the room was very large and comfortable. It is a well appointed upmarket hotel. It won't blow your mind with its cutting edge decor, but everything is well maintained and smart.

I would stay here again when visiting Dublin if I wanted a very decent hotel right in the middle of town.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter. The front of the hotel is on a fairly busy street.
