I just got back from a trip to Dublin last night and i have to say this hotel was amazing, non of us had been to Dublin before and it was very central for all the sites, shopping and going out. They were very pleasnt and the rooms were like no travel lodge i have seen before... We were very pleased with the stay. The bar downstairs were also very nice (even though i think it is seperate) they were happy for us to take drinks to our room and always very accodating for the size of our party. The only trouble was the girl on reception was'nt very helpful, on two occasions she booked us taxi's out and she told them the wrong places to take us. Apart from that it would have been rated 5!!

Hi Mic250,

I am very disappointed to read your review on our hotel. I did deal with a couple of guests this particular morning that had the same problem and the situation was rectified for these guests before they departed and they were happy. If I did not get to meet with you or talk to you directly I apologise for this and ask you to please contact me directly at the hotel where we can discuss this further and in detail.

I hesitate to recommend this Travelodge as it is one of those hidden gems you would prefer to keep to yourself.
For a city centre hotel it offers fantastic value. It is only yards away from Stephen's Green and Grafton Street but is quietly situated with little traffic noise. Apart from the rather utilitarian reception area it has far more character than one would expect at the price - a decent bar/cafe and the bedrooms are clean, spacious and extremely comfortable and have much more character than one would expect from a chain hotel.
The staff are friendly and efficient and don't forget to say hello to the charming manageress Michelle

Having never been to Dublin before we were a little apprehensive about whereabouts we would be staying as we didn't know the city at all. However we found this travelodge to be ideal! It was very central and within walking distance of the shops and bars that we wanted to visit. The rooms were a little dated and the curtains could do with a bit of an update (almost falling off the rail) but other than this they were very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for 2. The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful also. Whilst we didn't eat at the hotel we had a drink in the bar and found this to be a very relaxing place to have a quiet drink. As long as you aren't looking for anything too fancy and are simply looking for a pleasent place to stay then I would deffinitely reccommend this.

Fantastic spot just on the edge of St Stephen's Green with the shopping hub literally minutes away in any direction you choose to walk and set off to explore for shopping, sight seeing or even the planed tourist trail .
Staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and just a convenient place to stay for whatever your occasion maybe to visit the fascinating city of Dublin.

Also attached to the hotel is a wonderful restaurant /cafe with a lovely atmosphere serving a great array of food ( breakfasts scrumptious ) and beverages in a relaxed and inviting setting.
Be it for business, on the way or home from the theatre or even treating oneself to a great meal out.

Room Tip: 5th floor as above most of the street noise.

Stayed here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It’s cheap, clean, central, but not noisy. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Dublin.

I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but the dining room / bar area looked nice enough. We headed down the road to Taste Café, which I would recommend!
