We had booked our flights, cars, B & B's thru a package deal with Aer Lingus and we certainly weren't expecting the first night's hotel accommodations to be so excellent. We arrived in Dublin on a Friday morning . . . in the cold and rain and our first experience of driving on the left side . . . and the front desk people were wonderful about explaining things and finding the various places we wanted to visit. The room was great and the breakfast was outstanding. By the time we got back to the hotel from the "hop-on/hop-off" tour, we were wet and frozen. (A side note . . . I understand that there are two of these tours . . . ours from Viator did not stop at this hotel but the other one does . . . check it out . . . the Viator is a good 20 minute walk to the station.) There is a fabulous little Italian restaurant (I'll review it and give it a 5 star!) just a half block from the hotel . . . Wallace's Asti . . . very reasonable and excellent, creative food.
