Owner description: Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over 100 years. With a capacity of 82,300, this magnificent stadium is actually the third largest in Europe. Its size is only part of its greatness, however, as you’ll discover on this eye-opening, access-all-areas tour. From quirky insights into why Croke Park’s grass is always greener to learning about defining moments in Irish history, the passionate Tour Guides will take you on an inspiring journey around our national stadium. Some of the highlights include taking a seat in the VIP area, getting a birds-eye view from the media centre, sneaking a peek inside the dressing rooms, and of course, walking in the footsteps of legends as you go pitchside through the players’ tunnel! What an excellent tour -- got to go ALL OVER Croke Park: locker rooms, players lounge, VIP section, top deck. Even if you have no knowledge of Gaelic Football or Hurling, you will be impressed. One of the highlights of our trip!

A very worth while tour to take, which gave us a light hearted introduction of what can sometimes be a heavy going Irish history! I did not realise how intertwined gaelic sport was/is with politics. The stadium is impressive and our guide was great.

I am currently living in Dublin and had a number of groups of friends over to Ireland during the summer so I took then around the usual Tourist spots. I have to say I was blown away by the Croke Park Tour. The Stadium is very impressive even empty and our Guide Cian was a wealth of information and his enthusiasm for the GAA and history of the stadium was evident. I was intrigued by the behind the scenes look at the dressing rooms, the Players Lounge and corporate facilities. The video at the outset highlights how much more goes into to staging a huge sporting event and sets the atmosphere for the tour.
A person could spend hours in the museum afterwards looking at everything and trying all the games. We had some younger visitors with us who had to be peeled off the interactive games as they were having such a blast. The gift shop items are keenly priced and 2 GAA mini balls later we managed to bribe them to leave before the lights got turned off.
The staff were in no rush to hurry us along. The coffee shop is also very nice - decent Cuppa and lovely fresh sandwiches and cakes.
Well worth a visit but worth nothing the museum entrance is not via the Hogan Stand which I would have taken as the main entrance. There are signs when you get nearer the stadium but we hadn't looked that up at the outset and being from a county who would not get to Croke Park very often (read ever) we headed for Jones Road and the Hogan not the Cusack Stand off Clonliffe which is the Museum entrance.

Having been to Croke park hundreds of times before on match day, we finally got around to doing the stadium tour. It is equally impressive empty as it is when it's full. What a fantastic stadium and tour guides. They are very obliging with photos. The museum is such a nice place to visit. The interactive games for the kids look to be excellent. They all seemed to be having a ball. The tour is not rushed and I would recommend any visitor to the capital to take the tour. It's a brilliant way to see our national amateur games and the stadium they take place in.

We were in Dublin when the hurling semi final between Limerick and Clare was on, so decided to go and watch the match. Even though we didn't know the rules, it was a fast exciting skilful game and the atmosphere was fantastic. So a couple of days later we decided to go back to the stadium and learn more. I wish we had allowed more time. We got to walk round the pitch and visit the dressing rooms, but best of all was the museum. It was an interesting and interactive exhibition, lots of history, lots of videos and the highlight at the end were the various 'have a go' features where you could test all the skills the players use, including measuring the speed you could hit the ball, how high you could jump, reaction times and so on. Kept our boys going for hours.
