Owner description: Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over 100 years. With a capacity of 82,300, this magnificent stadium is actually the third largest in Europe. Its size is only part of its greatness, however, as you’ll discover on this eye-opening, access-all-areas tour. From quirky insights into why Croke Park’s grass is always greener to learning about defining moments in Irish history, the passionate Tour Guides will take you on an inspiring journey around our national stadium. Some of the highlights include taking a seat in the VIP area, getting a birds-eye view from the media centre, sneaking a peek inside the dressing rooms, and of course, walking in the footsteps of legends as you go pitchside through the players’ tunnel! For more information, including tour times, prices and directions to the GAA Museum, see https://crokepark.ie/gaa-museum-tours/stadium-tours

We really enjoyed the stadium tour and GAA Museum. Excellent guide who also explained the history of the stadium and games. Our best afternoon spent in Dublin!

Far away from the usual touristic stuff (Guiness storehouse, Trinity college & Temple bar), this museum/stadium tour is a good introduction of a large part of Irish history & day-to-day life

I am a primary school teacher. I had my school tour today and it was simply fantastic! I have a third class mixed group of 27 boys and girls aged between 9-10 and we had a great experience there today. Our guide was John C. and from the moment we started he had a very pleasant way of engaging with the children. They listened to him intently and their behaviour and overall enjoyment was excellent as a result. We visited the conference room where we watched a short video, Hill 16, the dressing rooms, the higher stalls of the Cusack stand, and the museum with fun interactives at the end.

The tour was a great length and John allowed us plenty of time to have our lunch beforehand. The boys and girls got a lot out of it and were really excited to go back to Croker on a match day having been in all the places the players go behind the scenes. Thanks to John and the team and Croke Park. We had a great time!

We got to the stadium just as the last tour of the day came back - they shut tours down early on game days. Luckily for us, the staff are amazing. One young girl brought us into the stadium anyways, just so that we could see it, and then proceeded to give us two tickets for the gaelic football match that was taking place that afternoon. She couldn't use hers, so passed them on to us. AMAZING! We couldn't say thank you enough, and then ended up spending time in the GAA Museum. What a great place. I finally got to show my boyfriend the sport of Hurling and Camogie, and he finally understood what an amazing game it is. One of our best afternoons in Dublin!

The history has some surprises and a story that needs to be told. Where politics is sport...amazing. The tour guide made the tour very exciting and involved everyone on the tour. He is from Kilkenny and can spin a good yarn or two. Worth every penny and a quality tour.
