Owner description: Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over 100 years. With a capacity of 82,300, this magnificent stadium is actually the third largest in Europe. Its size is only part of its greatness, however, as you’ll discover on this eye-opening, access-all-areas tour. From quirky insights into why Croke Park’s grass is always greener to learning about defining moments in Irish history, the passionate Tour Guides will take you on an inspiring journey around our national stadium. Some of the highlights include taking a seat in the VIP area, getting a birds-eye view from the media centre, sneaking a peek inside the dressing rooms, and of course, walking in the footsteps of legends as you go pitchside through the players’ tunnel! The Croke Park Stadium Tour allows you to see the intricate parts of the 82,500 capacity stadium which happens to be the 4th largest stadium in Europe for a very reasonable price in comparison to other stadium tours. The tour begins with a ~20 minute film presentation looking behind the scenes on a big match day. The guided tour then continues into the players lounge, dressing room, pitch side, VIP seating and finally, a corporate box. The tour guide, Annette, was very knowledgeable and provided information for both children and adults alike. My girlfriend and I were the only people in the tour from the UK, with the rest of the group being Irish. However, Annette took time to explain to us some of the more basic information although we were the minority and that was much appreciated.

The ticket also includes admission to the GAA museum which helps to solidfy some of the information given on the tour whilst also providing some interactive competitive games.

A good tour at a great stadium steeped in history and well worth a visit.

As part of our Easter weekend in Dublin, my wife and I took the stadium tour of Croke Park. Upon arrival, we walked around the exhibs until the appointed time of our tour (get there about 15 mins before your tour time). After our guide showed us a short video on the stadium, the tour began in earnest.

Changing rooms, media centre, pitchside, directors box and hospitality suites all presented there own individual stories from our excellent guide Shona.

A sporting venue with a lot of Irish history attached to it - even if you are not a sports fan, this is a must visit when you are in Dublin.

Did the Stadium and Museum Tour with my girlfriend on Friday 22nd March , the weather on the day was terrible but when we passed the Michael Cusack statue on the way into the museum under the Cusack Stand our day picked up . Nice reception area with friendly staff, a large scale model of the stadium and surrounding areas and lots of little souvenirs to chose from . Our tour of the stadium didnt start for 35 mins so the girl on reception told us to go into the museum for ourselves . The museum itself was well laid out , from the County flags on the roof to the jerseys , hurls , footballs , trophies and medals in the glass cases . Upstairs there is 2 target areas for hurling and football , a must do for all visitors , have to say i was wrecked leaving it :) The stadium tour started with a short video to give people a sample of what All Ireland day is like in the stadium , really enjoyed it and our tour guide was funny and informative , the views in the stadium are amazing from pitchside to level 7 . Highly reccomend this tour, We will return to do the roof walk . . .

Croke park ranks as one of the worlds finest stadiums. Holding 82,000 people in relative comfort, it contains most things one expects from a national stadium with a plus, you can walk across the top of the stands and view Dublin as it's never being viewed, it literally takes your breath away,, must do it! The museum is really worth a visit, the memories from past great games, players and crowds have to be seen and experienced.
