“Great Location, delicious food, but small room”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

I stayed here with my bf using the Dealrush voucher for 2 nights. Seeing the mixed reviews we weren't worried, as the deal was so good, (breakfast each morning and a 2 course evening meal one of the nights).
As expected the noise level was loud, but as we were facing out onto Dame Street, hearing the traffic was to be expected, I used the earplugs both nights which helped, while the BF was able to sleep without them.
The breakfast was lovely and made better by the fact it was brought to our room with no extra cost to us. The meal was bar food, but excellantly done and hit the spot before we headed out to a concert, they have great prices for cocktails all night, with music throughout the evening, meaning could stay there for the evening. Overall a great trip, my only compliant be the size of the room and the bed. But for the deal we got I prob shouldn't be expecting much bigger. It did the job, as the weather was so good, we didnt spend much time in the room.

Room Tip: We stayed in 204, and found it quite small, but very clean.

We apologise for the inconvenience cause. Our maintenance and housekeeping staff are very committed in keeping the rooms and the premises clean and tidy at all times.

As we are situated on a busy city centre road, there can be traffic noise which is why we provide earplugs for your convenience.

We will take your review under serious consideration and make sure no such inconvenience is caused to any of our guests.

We greatly appreciate your feedback!!

It was my first time staying here. Upon arrival the hotel looked nice and staff were welcoming. When we got our room it was small and noisey. However I did see ear plugs which only dimm the noise.

On our first evening of 3 nites we ate dinner in the hotel bar restaurant. We ordered a starter to share. When it arrived so did my husband's main course. I found this odd as u usually get the main courses together. Than I had to wait 10 min after to get my main.

Great location for temple bar and people going out. Close to shopping areas and very friendly staff. Staff at reception were very helpful and are very professional.

Currently staying in room 206 at citi hotel- literally couldn't be in a better location! The river, temple and the castle are all less than 5 minutes away.

I'd read a few reviewsa before choosing this hotel, as the trip was a short holiday for my boyfriends 25th- and figured it was a good balance of good reviews and low prices.. But wow!!! We walked into a large bright spacious room!! Three large victorian windows, fully equiped bathroom and views down the high street. Boyf very impressed!! Defo will be back

The front desk attendant was very rude and sarcastic. The elevator gave access to non-floors and creepy basement. The room was okay, but the bathroom ceiling was falling down. The stand up shower wasn't big enough to turn around in (from pretty normal to small sized people). The shower curtains didn't contain water from the shower and water would cover the floor after a shower. There were many early morning stumblers in the surrounding rooms and we could hear their entire conversations at 4:30 AM and every step and fall they took. In addition, we could hear the street noise pretty loudly (compared to other hotels in the area).

Room Tip: "Don't go!"

It is very central. Cosy. Welcoming and clean. And during weekdays not expensive. When you travel do you need more? It was nice to be here. The room was big and clean. People were kind and welcoming. The hotel is close to Temple Bar so it is easy to go out. The historical sights and nightlife is just out of the hotel.

Room Tip: Room 309 was spacous and interesting.
