Description: Rosa MADRE has a great history ... Started in 2010 was only a little cafe selling quality italian coffee... By the time the passion of the owners and the staff this small cafe expanded and became today a full restaurant with more than 80 seats... How they did ? Well the most important thing for us is the food! The ingredients are every day fresh the owner Luca check every day all the delivery and make sure that only the best will be used by the Chef Francesco Mambelli .... Recently they started to serve the most amazing fresh fish cooked in the italian way which means very simple trying to preserve the real flavour of the fish ... In fact you can find every day lobster , sea bass ,turbot ,prawns squid and a lot more ... Come to try us and you will find out what the real italian food is all about!

“Best kept secret in Dublin”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Thanks to Tripadvisor, otherwise we would have never found this restaurant even-though we had dinner across the street just a few days before... The storefront appears to be a Regge store and just a coffee shop but once into the restaurant, wow what a great experience. We sat upstairs as it was more of a dinner atmosphere. The service was prompt and superb. We started with a fruit and shrimp/prawn salad and an eggplant Parmesan type appetizer and a bottle of Merlot. Then we had the spaghetti carbonara and the fettuccine (type) with Italian sausage with tomatoes. The portions were huge, hot and delicious. Fresh bread accompanied. They played a black and white Italian film on a wall that you could see from the 2nd floor. The food was prepared specifically for us as when we went downstairs to pay, we saw the chef making dinners in various pots/pans and each sauce made fresh to accompany each dinner.
Our bill was $68 Euro plus tip. We wanted to try the dessert special a "cannoli Italiano" but we were too full. A great meal right in the middle of Temple Bar area so look for it...on Crow Street.
Great food, great service, great value.

Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday! To be honest it was cold, food was average and it was dead on a Thursday.

“Last minute trip, found this with trip advisor ”
Reviewed December 10, 2013 via mobile

At the time of finding this restaurant it was number 7 in Dublin and right across from where we were staying. When we walked up to the door we almost didn't bother as it looked closed, then we wondered in and saw a cafe, however we were then led upstairs to a great looking small but well spaced restaurant. My partner had the cod and loved it I had the chilli pasta, also loved it. This is a genuinely great find and really worth trying, although I would imagine this place being pretty busy at the weekend so a weekday visit may be more relaxed.

“Very Happy with our Visit”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Went with a group of friends. The Boss (Italian) very welcoming. Waiter - Irish - was very pleasant and helpful. Also the Italian waiters very nice. Our food was delicious served with our choice of drink ... Prosecco. We even had desserts which I rarely have but the tira-mi-su was perfect. I'd recommend Caffé Italiano for good food and good value which is seldom found in Temple Bar.
