After just recently winning the 2013 City Bar of the Year award, I can confirm that Cassidy's is an absolute gem of a spot. As one of those who spent my late teenage years frequenting the infamous Eamonn Doran's, I've been looking for a place that could fill that void inside me since the closure of Doran's.

Having resided to some of the older haunts around Dublin, some of which have been great, I've struggled to find a happy medium the comfort experienced in an 'old man pub' and the atmosphere and young crowd that can be found in a 'trendy bar'.

Cassidy's, for me, struck this middle-ground, nail on head! Great tunes, great banter. Aload of craftys on tap and the offer of a pizza and a pint for 10quid!

Sure any more than that and you're just being greedy!

Trendy city pub for hip young people that like loud rock music, good beer and snacking on pizza. Worth checking out because they have a much larger range of draft beers than average, and some decent bottles too. It's small and busy, so don't expect to get a seat unless you're lucky. If this place was in London, it wouldn't really stand out as anything special, but in Dublin, Cassidy's makes a nice change from the norm.

As a regular here I can't recommend it enough. Wonderful staff who are always in good form and make you feel welcome. Huge selection of board games available to keep you occupied. Always a good night guaranteed.

on the recommendation of a shop keeper in Temple Bar we headed to Cassidy's for a drink on our first night in dublin. the bar staff and a local lady were lovely and friendly and we chatted with them late into the night. you can even join in what many people have done before and sign the walls! makes for great reading!
We would recommend and will return when we next visit Dublin.
