We ate at Fire while staying over night in Dublin, we really enjoyed our meal and the waitress looked after us very well, it was busy so had a nice atmosphere, would definately recomend this restaurant.

We dined at Fire restaurant on Dawson Street Dublin for a small family gathering of five in March 2013. We had the pre theatre menue 2 course is €23.50 and 3 course is €28.50. The atmosphere and surroundings were excellent. We had a dedicated waitress and she left her name card on the table. The service overall was excellent. We had no complaints with the food, the steaks were cooked to everyones liking. (4 had steaks) The deserts were excellent except for the cheese cake which could have been better presented and smaller. The wine was a little more expensive than equivalent elsewhere but worth it. We intend to dine in Fire again soon.

I ate here with my wife and daughter before going on to a theatre performance. We found the service poor and the food was OK but nothing special. We had wine by the glass and sent back the sauvignon blanc, it was not nice. It was early (around 6.15) and the restaurant was fairly emplty and we were seated in an exposed table that was not relaxing or cosy. The restaurant is central in Dublin, but parking is difficult close by, and so we were a little later than we wanted. Consequently we were a little rushed. What we needed was attentive personal service, but we were served by dfferent people with no-one taking care to ensure we would be on time and relax us. Since we then had to drive to get to the theatre it was not the best choice for pre-theatre.

We had the set menu a few weeks ago. It was delicious -- bread was so-so but the tomato soup was amazing. All of our entrees were great -- plenty big -- we had chicken and bangers and mash. Desserts were also excellent.

The location was definitely unique -- in a large, open historical building. We were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived.

I've dined at Fire on several occasions, most recently Wednesday 13/03/13, We (party of three) ate from the pre theatre menu. I had Fish Cakes, beautiful and a nice firey hot dip accompanied with a small salad. I had the 8oz Hereford steak, cooked to perfection (medium rare as I ordered) and for dessert followed a most enjoyable chocolate pave, One of my party had the ceasar salad to start and said it was fab, same goes for my friend who had the most beautiful goats cheese starter (I tasted some, it was fab!).

This was all nicely accompanied by a very enjoyable sauvignon blanc, we followed with coffee, a most enjoable meal that did not leave our wallets empty, Top Value, Top Service but most of all Top taste!
