“Brilliant take-away food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2012

Kokoro is in a great location between the river Liffey and shopping paradise Henry Street. I would call it a coffee shop style place rather than a restaurant. They do a great selection of individual sushi but also bento boxes which may seem a bit pricey compared to continental prices but hey, that's Ireland for you. Anyway, they're very tasty and fresh, and make for a perfect, healthy take-away. Kokoro also has a good selection of warm food, for take-away or eating on the premises. I'll definitely be back when next in Dublin.

“Not too bad...charge for soy sauce and wasabi!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

There is a large selection of sushi here and they also do great bento boxes. There is a cafe style set up, so it really is more for take out than eat in. There is also a charge of 10 cent per sachet of soy sauce, wasabi etc, so if you use any amount of these with your food it is worth getting your food to take away....or sneaking in your own! Everything is prepared, which is very convenient, but sometimes you wonder how long something has been sitting there for. At my latest visit I got a salmon temaki and I really didn't like it, so I took two bites and that was it. The staff member who was coming to clear off my table did ask me if I wanted to take it away when she saw I hadn't eaten it, but when I told her that it wasn't great, she didn't offer to do anything about that.

“Convenient and Authentic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

This sushi shop has excellent sushi at great prices! They have a large selection of sushi, including nigiri, gunkan, temaki and maki style rolls. There are also the more affordable sushi bento boxes that range from 7-10 euro and make a great lunch. You also get free Miso soup with a large bento. Kokoro also have a variety of got foods prepared daily, such as Japanese fried rice(chahan), yakisoba, both meat and vegetarian curries, rice bowl with beef or seafood among others. Japanese dessert such as Dorayaki and green tea cheesecake are also available.

There is a limited number of seating areas, but a takeout is more convenient. Everything is already prepared and you see what you are getting, so it's great if you are in a rush.
