“Little pricey, but cosy spot for a Sunday Brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

Been meaning to try this place out for ages.

So on the Sunday of the October bank holiday weekend, finally got a chance to visit it. Both of us went for the full Irish and the staff were very willing to take some items off ( I can't stand pork and leek sausages - they are very overrated in my opinion, what is wrong with plain pork sausages??) and add others on (extra bacon in my case) for no extra cost, which is always good.

Now I don't drink tea of coffee but generally when you order a full Irish tea / coffee is included in the price. Not so with this bunch.

While I did like the food and found the staff very pleasant, I think that €22.20 for two breakfasts with tea and a soft drink a tad on the pricey side.

My only crib with the selection of food for their full Irish was that I would have liked to have potatoes (not chips, just fried potatoes or hash browns) and mushrooms with my breakfast. Plus if you are going to serve black pudding, could you not also add white pudding?

As an aside - a table beside us ordered the fish & chips and it did look very appealing.

Overall, yes I would probably go back - but not for breakfast.

“Over rated and over priced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

This was recommended to us at the new place on the block and a must to visit when in Dublin and we did ... Dubliners like paying over the top for normal experiences even in their relatively recent pauperisation whilst they are repaying the German banks ... We found the place pretentious, overpriced, normal and normally presented food and a little over the top prices,

“Great bistro!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

In search of a late lunch before hitting the National Museum Collins Barracks. The place was packed, obviously a popular spot in the area. We had to wait awhile for a table, but worth the wait. Although the menu is limited, the lunch was one of the best of my time in Dublin.

“€3.50 for a cup of tea in Benburg Street!,”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

We decided to go here even though the recent reviews were very mixed. We had booked for 7pm and there were two others in the dining room . There was a complete lack of atmosphere all evening even though the diners numbered 10 at one stage . The food was good in spots especially the starters. The mains were disappointing and so expensive for what we got.i don't think Wuff will last which is a pity.

“Nice oasis in the middle of a desolate dining area....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

We got off the "HOHO" bus at the Fourcourts area around lunchtime, thinking we would eat lunch before visiting the museum. The problem is where? We walked about 5 blocks toward town....nothing....then moved one block away from the river, and came upon Wuff.

It was jammed...obviously the only good place around....but it was surprisingly good. We both had the steak sandwich on ciabatta bread with gruyere cheese and a pickled relish with great thick cut chips. Really good sandwich, and a great choice for lunch in the Jameson Brewery or National Museum areas north of the river.
