“Terrible service and overpriced food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

Went to Salamanca today for lunch! Ridiculously bad service from a waitress and the manager(with the Donegal accent)he was so rude and lazy! when paying with my card he actually made a comment about the tip! Like any other restaurant I've been too I leave my tip on the table!

Food was extremely over priced for what it was......I've had far better tapas at more reasonable prices!

“Poor quality”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

The tapas were of a very poor quality unfortunately. They reminded me of the boxes of finger food you can buy in the frozen section of the supermarket and bung in the oven. Not impressed that I had to pay over €17 for 3 Tapas dishes. Staff were ok.

“excellent food and lovely staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

We eat here on a busy saturday night. We did not have a reservation but they made room for us. We had a drink at the bar area while waiting for a table. The wine list is fairly short but with something for all tastes and not too expensive.

We shared a number of different large tapas. The pork fillet was fantastic Others commented favourably on the prawns, asparagus and spanish , omelette. We had 8 large tapas, a side salad, abasket of bread, 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles water,3 coffees and 1 tea. Price was 150 which was terrific value for what we had. Service was pleasant and efficient. Will definitely pay a return visit and will recommend it to friends.

The tables in the back are better situated as the front door opening and closing let in a fine cold wind..

“Amazing food but a shame about the staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

We ate here on a Saturday night in November as we thought it looked lovely and was the perfect meal before a night out. We called in the afternoon before to see if they had any room and we agreed a 2 1/2 hour slot in the evening. We were greeted my a nice lady who showed us to our seats, it took one of us to go and ask the young girl if she could take our drinks order almost 20mins after we arrived. We also asked her what she recommended for 8 people/how many dishes we should order and what size they were, where she replied that she didn’t know!! When the food came it was lovely, the best tapas most of us had tasted and we were very pleased despite the staff. However we felt rushed at the end to finish our drinks as the people who were having our table after us were stood waiting next to us!! I do understand that is was a busy Saturday night and we would defiantly go back there again.
