We traveled with our three daughters, 2, 14 and 19. The house was extremely well appointed with every detail thought out. Plentiful linens, dishes, etc. Having two bathrooms on two floors was a bonus with our girls. There was a crib for the baby. WiFi was excellent. Best part was walking out the front door to visit the grounds of Trinity, which our daughter toured for a possible future college option. Great chocolate shop just opened next door, coffee houses, tour guide locations, late night dining and pubs all within one or two blocks. Easy access to all forms of transportation. Sally was exceptionally available and helpful. Thank you for a fabulous stay!
What a lovely property . So central and so full of character . Will definitely be back for a return visit . Thank you
This apartment is in a fabulous position... probably unbeatable in a city with pretty diabolical traffic. We were a family of a married couple with 2 grown up daughters and a 24 year old niece.. we all loved the position and amenity of the apartment. Everyone could do their own thing, but be quickly back together.
Amazingly for the busy position; it was somehow quiet; with 2 of the young adult daughters sleeping on the sofas in the front loungeroom reporting no trouble sleeping.
We knew of 1 shower situation, so that was fine.
Really appreciated the washer dryer.
Sally was just a gem from the first very prompt response... just a delight and extremely helpful.
I would highly recommend this property.
This was the perfect in city location on our four day Dublin layover. The apartment is as depicted in the photos and is large with plenty of room for more than our three person party. Check the kitchen cupboards for food items previous guests may not have used (coffee, sugar) before shopping! We were able to have answers within the hour by text from Sally to our questions. Here assistant Svetlana was helpful in allowing us to leave our luggage after check out (10:00AM) while waiting for a late afternoon flight out. Highly recommended for the Dublin City experience. Close to everything as well as access to trains for day trips. Have fun, we did!!!
Every time I visit Dublin, this is my first choice for a place to stay. It has a great central location for sights, shopping, pubs, everything to do in Dublin. Making it even better, Sally is wonderful to deal with and always so helpful.
Through an unobtrusive glass door between shops, you step onto Grafton Street - the retail spine of Dublin - across from Trinity College. Downtown Dublin is very walkable, and this apartment is central to everything. Grafton Street itself becomes a pedestrian mall one block south of the apartment. Temple Bar, St. Stephen's Green, the O'Connell Bridge are all easy walks. This is a great location for first-time tourists to Dublin, like us, who want to sample the city's highlights - and for repeat visitors who want to be in the heart of it all.
The apartment itself is on the European first floor (second floor for Americans), but well above the street and private because it faces trees of the Trinity College campus. Street noise is present but muted, and not unpleasant. The bedrooms and kitchen are in the back and are absolutely quiet. There is a full kitchen, including washer/dryer. The master bedroom is good sized with its own bath. The king bed can be divided into twins. The second bedroom is small with a double bed - close quarters if you are a couple, but doable. There is a small bath with a shower stall for the second bedroom.
In terms of logistics, Marks and Spencer is two blocks away where you can stock up on groceries and wine (and buy a coat while you're at it). Around the corner is Avoca with prepared foods and pastries. Numerous restaurants and pubs are close by. Next door is the Aran Sweater Market. Yes, it's targeted to tourists - otherwise it would be the "Aran Jumper Market." But the sweaters are wonderful and the prices are reasonable.
Sally is a great owner. She was a pleasure to work with in coordinating our arrival. She worked us through some unplanned emergency utility construction at our doorstep with full information and good advice. She is also very knowledgeable about Dublin and all it has to offer.
I stayed for two nights with my family of 5 and we had a great time. You can't get any better and more central spot in Dublin since we only had to leave the apartment to be on Grafton Street. Supermarkets, Shops, Restaurants and more were around closely.
The apartment had a huge livingroom, very comfortable bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The wifi access was good in all parts of the apartment. We'll definitely come back!
