This is a small, intimate theater where you are vey close to the dancers. My seven year old couldn't stop moving her feet throughout the show. The quality of the dancing is amazing and very professional. This has an authentic and sincere feeling to it. The length and timing of the show was perfect to keep the kids attentive, and still have time for dinner afterwards. This was an unexpected delight.

“Excellent for Corporate Entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

We used Jig for after dinner entertainment for an employee dinner of 100+ people. Attendees were a broad mix of Irish and those from around the globe. The Jig entertainment went down extremely well with the Irish and international contingent alike. Their performance was excellent and was followed by an all inclusive Ceili where everyone was invited to participate. The only complaint was when it ended! The Irish band were also superb and they provided music well after the ceili finished. Overall I would highly recommend Jig. They were very accommodating, happy to travel to our event which was outside of Dublin and extremely professional to deal with.

“History brought to the present”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

By pure chance during we saw during our shopping trip the chalk sign for the live shows at the museum. We came back to Powerscourt in the evening and did not expect much as the museum itself is really small.
But we had to enhance our expectations. The show was fantastic. Four excellent dancers performing live what the video explained about. They really brought the history of Irish Dance to the stage. The dancers did a great deal in showing all the different kinds of Irish Dance, changing costumes so many times and giving a real insight into the spirit of irish dancing.
Next time I visit Dublin I will definitely try to join one of the Hop Up Shows!

Hi Sharon

Thank you for taking the time to give us you feedback and opinion on Jig - The Story of Irish dance.

We appreciate all comments and take everything mentioned into consideration. I would like to point out that Jig is a multimedia Irish dance show which takes the audience through the different years and generations of dance. The screens present how Irish dancing has changed and the history associated with its evolution. The screens are they to represent the older styles of Irish dancing which are not currently seen nowadays and which showcases an overall story of Irish dance.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with Jig and thank you again for your feedback.

Kindest Regards

Sean O'Brien

Loved the dance, the history and the music. The performance exceeded our expectations. The dancers were very professional with appropriate costuming. And the location was perfect for segueing to conveniently located, nearby restaurants. Not to be missed on a visit to Dublin!
