Stayed in La Stampa with my sister on the June Bank Holiday wkend that we did the womens mini-marathon. Fantastic location, just 5 mins from Stephens Green. Hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff and great cocktails in Sam Sara bar. Fabulous place for people-watching on a Sat night! Was a mix-up over our treatments in Mandala Spa but sorted quite amicabily. Breakfast overpriced!!

i have stayed in a lot of hotels and im not one to complain but la stampa really let me down. i had booked as a special treat for my sister and i, but it was no treat!
1. wrong room, got double instead of twin, reception not interested
2. drilling going on in hall way
3. very untidy hall, full of cleaners equipment constantly
4. no bath seal around bath, just mould and grime
5. heated towl rail broken and held together with tape
6. no tea coffee in room, just OVER PRICED mini bar
i could go on about other things.

La Stampa Hotel in central Dublin is the perfect hotel if you want a city break with a little sophistication. The hotel is in the trendy part of town, surrounded by a couple of small, nice bars and restaurants. The hotel's own bar is very cool and very popular, and inkeeping with the rest of the hotel the decor is good - again cool and rather eclectic. The staff and duty manager were (from booking process and all through the duration of the stay) exemplary. They were attentive, friendly and very welcoming - even rebooking treatments that we had missed due to delayed flights. This is a wonderful small hotel to enjoy in the city centre - it's in a lively area so it's not the place for a quiet retreat, but for slice of luxury in a great city - book yourself a treat at La Stampa.

Did not have any problems with room standard except for carpet which was pretty grubby. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment and was always back in at night after bar was shut so did not have a problem with noise. The location is great with restaurants and bars on the doorstep and is just off main shopping street. However have stayed in many of the SLH hotels around the world and could not believe this is one of the few listed for Dublin - it definately does not live up to that standard. Overall got what I expected for 158 euro/night.

I loved la Stampa, great location just a street away from Grafton St.
Fantastic Bar in which you can party till late. Didnt eat in any of the resturaunts but they looked very nice.
Would recommend to young couples or small groups perhaps not the older generation this is because it can be quite a noisy place late on at night.
The Spa was out of this world, so relaxing and very reasonably priced.
Bedrooms- well we had a suite and it was100 % no complaints whatsoever pure heaven
Staff were extremely helpful and polite.
Was very unsure about this place when i read the previous reviews but to be honest it was a lovely hotel, and i had no complaint

Just back from a 2 night stay in La Stampa. It is set in a great location right beside St. Stephens green,Luas,Grafton st we never had to walk to far for where we needed to go.
We arrived really early way before checking in time but the receptionist was so lovely she done her best to find us a free room and checked us in.
The room was so different to all other hotels a real eastern european feel. It was really clean and had mini bar dvd player etc. Could not have asked for better all restaurants are fabulous each one unique! While we were there they had a latino night with salsa dancing the place was packed and we really enjoyed it. The staff are so well mannered and polite.
I had a facial in the mandala spa it was out of this world the spa is fabulous do try it!

All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

La Stampa, great location but not a great hotel

Stayed here for a two-night break in the city, the website and brochure make the place look fantastic! Sadly, reality kicked in on check in. The young guy behind the reception desk didn’t known what he was doing (He was New) and the manager sitting beside him was more interested in reading his paper than helping his guests…

After two trips up three flights of stairs we got a room, small would not be the word, the bathroom sink was cracked and the toilet seat was broken. I spoke to reception and nothing was done to either fix it or change rooms. The waste bins still had rubbish from the previous guest. We discovered the lift on the second day, but you have to push your way through the people dancing in the bar to get to the lift. Breakfast was a joke, cold, not enough and not even average!

We checked out and went to The Morgan Hotel, Temple Bar. 110% better with friendly staff and great rooms.
