“Great food & service!”

Ate at this restaurant recently and was very impressed. The food was excellent, as was the service. And there is a great value early bird on offer. Recommended. A+++

“Great food - enjoyable, intimate place to eat”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Had a meal here when staying with friends who live just up the road - on her birthday. The food was very good with a reasonable choice (some things not available on the night we were there). Only a few bottles of wine that were reasonably priced but the Rioja and Sauvignon Blanc bottles we had were good. All the food was cooked really well and tasted great - we were told it was a relatively new chef, so different to that experienced by some of the reviewers here. Service was extremely friendly and helpful - would definitely return (though would ask not to sit by the door - there was a draught and it was a cold night). Not cheap but quite good value - much preferred it to The Step Inn which we also visited (food much better).

“Great food & great atmosphere”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

I am so happy to have this gorgeous cosy restaurant on my doory step. I have had several meals here, some with my husband, once with a friend and it has always been great food in a great atmosphere. The manageress is so friendly and helpful with sugestions. Everyime I've been I have ordered something different from the menu and it has always been fabulous. We ate most recently on Satrday night (02/02/13), fully intending on ordering from the early bird menu but ending up with the most expensive choices on the A La Carte and it was so worth it! I had lobster thermidor which was delicious, husband had the 8oz fillet. Well worth a trip here, great value and great choice on the early bird. I can't wait to try brunch!

“The Jury's Out”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

The service was excellent, the menu was "different" - well presented but the food not flawless.
Prices are reasonably, portions are small/ medium. We would not "rave" about this restaurant because we did not find it to be a "relaxed dining experience" - the circular table was a little too small for 4 and the chef's "warming" lights coming on & off as food is served was distracting.
So just be careful where you are seated & give the food a try.

“What A Find”
Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant was recommended by good friends and we were not disappointed. We experienced a warm welcome at 5.30pm on a wet and dreary Sunday evening. We opted for the early bird menu which was great value at circa €22 a head for two courses. The menu was just perfect and well varied and I must say the meal and atmosphere were just perfect. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this restaurant and will be returning soon.

All we can say is 10 out of 10 in our book. If I have one criticism it would be the wine prices. I honestly believe there should always be a couple of options at €20 or under.
