Went with a friend & got the weekend set menu. Sometimes you may expect portion size to be compromised on those sort of set menu's but have to say that at Indie Spice that wasn't the case.

The setting is very comfortable & where we were sitting one did not feel 'crammed in' and on top of the other guests. The atmosphere is nice & the waiting staff are very attentive - at no stage did we feel rushed.

The food is standard Indian fare which is very tasty & presented well - I had the chicken tikka masala which was made with nice large chunks of chicken along with plentiful creamy sauce. The pilau rice was nice & fluffy. Popadums & sauce provided upon arrival.

The location is very convenient right in the centre of Sandymount Village.

Overall I would recommend as a casual dining experience in a comfortable setting.

NB. I have been here before with a group of 12-14 & would highly recommend it for such sized groups.

Food always fashionably presented and very tasty. Decor very funky and music very nice. I love it here but I always feel the staff need some proper training. This restaurant is a hidden gem but they need to raise their profile a bit more and get more customers in the door. For example put a welcome sign outside the entrance as its hard to tell if it is open or closed. I will continue to visit this special restaurant.

Ordered three dishes. Got free popadoms good and jalfreizi was nice (but v hot). However the chicken tikka masala was very watery and tasteless...

First time in indie spice, food excellent, decor quirky, friendy service , subtle atmosphere, brillant value for the D4 area, truly full leaving after a starter and a main !! washed it down with a glass of their South African crisp white. Very morish, im a fan looking forward to being back in Sandymount. Well Done Indie Spice ...

We were a part of four, including one child, and had starters and main courses. The menu included lots of interesting non-standard options as well as the usual Indian options. My lamb rib starter was a bit tough for eating with fingers so the cutlery was required. Our naan had to be requested again and only appeared towards the end of the meal - even though the restaurant was not busy at all so that was a little irritating but other than that it was a good meal and I'd go back again without hesitation.
