i have stayed here twice this hotel has some really nice room and some terrible rooms, depending on which side of the hotel you get. our first room was fab a really big room, everything clean an new the bed was the nicest bed so comfy. But our second stay was terrible ALOT of noise we must have been over the kitchen. it was very small the bed was very old our window looked straight into another room. the floor was wet as if someone got sick on it the night before.

My wife and I stayed at the Belvedere for three nights during a tour around Ireland this summer. We spent two nights at the beginning of the trip plus the last night of the tour at the Belvedere. While the location was great for access to Dublin, the property itself was on the tired side.

The room we had for our first two nights had an odd furniture arrangement, 4 twin beds. Not much room for anything else. There were several less then desirable attributes to this room. First there was a dirty towel left in the bathroom (hanging in the shower). The pipes really sang each time the toilet was flushed (we heard this complaint from others in our tour group. The bedside lamp did not work and was not fixed even after it was reported. There was no air conditioning in the room, which was standard throughout Ireland so not a big deal in itself, but the room did cool down with just the window open; the bad news with this was there was a lot of noise from the bar directly below us. For our third night, the last night in Ireland, we had a different room which was nicer overall and certainly cleaner.

We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant as well as breakfast all three mornings we were there. The food was fine and the service we better than average. The serving staff were all quire friendly. We also went to the hotel pub each night we stayed at the Belvedere. We tried dessert there on at least one occasion. The service was prompt and friendly, and the pub was is better shape than the rest of the property.

While we enjoyed our time in Dublin and the Belvedere made a convenient base, I think that if I would return (and I do want to) I would look at other lodging options. I would stay at the Belvedere again, but I’ll look at other options.

This Hotel is not good upon arrival the room was not ready so we left our bags and went to explore to city. Upon our return we were given our hotel room number and key so we went up to the room only to find someone else in it !!!!! Our keycard worked which is worrying seen as though the person in our room had already activated it.We complained at reception and were allocated another room which was really bad. The windows were very difficult to open then when we did they wouldn;t stay open unless you used the plank of wood that was on the window sill !!. The room was very dusty and very old fashioned. The bar area isn't great you can get a drink if the barman has the right key to open the cupboard where all the wine spirits and coke were locked away. Breakfast was ok we were given it free because of the room mix up but i wouldn't have paid for it. Don't expect and nice relaxing drink after a night in town it's locked up and a security guard patrols the hotel. It's also more like a 20 min walk to Temple bar not great in heels so we took a taxi which was 10 euro. Thankfully we only stayed 1 night and checked out early the next day.

I made a reservation by Internet, paying the standard price; but room and bathroom were incredibly small. Moreover the cleanness of room, bathroom, corridors, breakfast room was really poor.
Maintenance in room was strongly required: walls dirty and full of scratches, damaged furniture and tiles in the bathroom.
Breakfast was poor too.
No parking place, even for a few minutes stop; I was obliged to make check in and to carry my baggage in the room holding the car in front of the hotel and having the risk to have it locked by Police (it’s very frequent in Dublin !).
The only positive comment is regarding the staff: always very kind and able to support our requests.
For sure you can find better hotels in the same part of the city.

Although it took us a little while to find, mainly due to our poor map reading and lack of knowledge of the roads, this hotel was top notch. The room was decent size but as we did not spend much time in the room that did not matter. The staff was very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Their directions around the city and for leaving the city were great. The breakfast was wonderful and filled us up each morning. The breakfast room and the hotel are quaint and charming. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Was a little warm in the room due to no air conditioning but we kept the window open and had no problem. Very short walk to the on and off bus and all of the sites of Dublin. Would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: i would ask for a high floor so you can leave the window open

Brilliant service from the moment we arrived! We were checked in 4 hours early and our bags were held for 2 hours before this. Rita was extremely helpful and told us to head back at 10.30am to check in. The wifi was brilliant, and the room was ample for what we needed. The beds were extremely comfy! We loved our stay and will be recommending to friends and family.
Recommend people ask about the Irish night as were are gutted we never got tickets, we could hear it from our room and it sounded amazing!
