This restaurant was recommended to us by Mark in the Kildare street hotel. We needed to taxi there but on arrival, late with no booking, the place was packed and there was a nice buzz about it. We were shown to a table and served a very nice starter of sushi (not the best I've had but nice) and chicken skewers - tasty. Mains were noodles and tuna - beautifully cooked. We had green tea - complimentary on arrival - and were the last to leave, without realising it. It was a lovely experience and well worth it at under 50 euro for the two of us.

We visited Musashi Japanese yesterday after the movie and had an absolute great experience. The waiter is smiling and helpfull all the time. Not sparing any expense, we ate and ate and ate. Our party of 4 dined on tuna, chicken and many extra orders of Yakima Yakima shrimp. We love the decor and their owe made tables and chairs. We would like back here to try the lunch box next time.

We are lovers of good Japanese food and decided to try out this little restaurant on Capel street while on a weekend in Dublin. The Chinese staff was friendly but would love to find a Japanese restaurant with Japanese staff and (more importantly) chefs...

Anyway, lunch started with a lovely green tea and a mouth-watering portion of pork gyoza. They were truly tasty and juicy. Pity about everything else that followed. The teriyaki beef looked like your average Chinese takeaway. Shiny sauce and the toughest beef we have eaten (or tried to) in a while. We were chewing away on the same bite for a good while and had to spit it out in our napkins! Sushi was average. Sushi rice was undercooked. 36 euros for lunch for two people, food below average. Overall a disappointing experience.

I have had a couple of things from the noodle and main course menu but nothing was as nice as the sushi and the value for money is inarguable. The staff are very friendly and efficient. It is difficult to get a table on the week nights, so you might need to book but late lunch is the best time for walk ins.

first of all, great service. smiling, attentive without being annoying. even though this place is very busy, they're very helpful if you just turn up looking for a table - unlike some Dublin restaurants. the food is delicious and reasonably priced. we had gyoza, ebi tempura and chicken skewers, then crab, salmon and avocado rolls. the byob policy makes for an affordable, enjoyable evening. quite noisy so not really a place for the romantic evening. otherwise, love it.
