I love this place. Though on the small side - it's ideal for a school night dinner and the food is always excellent both in value and in flavour. The service ain't too shabby neither!

Keep up the good work guys!

“Amazing every time - brunch, lunch & dinner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

I have been meaning to write a review on this restaurant for so long now. I have been to the restaurant several times for brunch at the weekends, lunch during the week and twice for dinner. I have never come across such fresh, hearty, healthy food for lunches. The goats cheese salad bowl is to die for with nearly more goats cheese than you can eat. No matter what i order there I always add a cup of soup to it as its not to be missed.
For dinner they have an amazing mid-week deal on for two people where you get 2 courses each and a bottle of house wine for €50. There is an excellent selection of starters and we have ordered prawns pil pil, the calamari, BBQ chicken and soup between us. The brown bread you get with the soup must come straight out of the oven as it is just so fresh. There is always a great selection of fish which is a favourite of mine and also meats and vegetarian dishes.
The staff in there are so friendly and you can tell it has a lot of returning customers as people are regularly greeted by name! It is a busy little restaurant and having brunch sitting out the back is such a treat.
I liked the place so much I emailed the owner and he got straight back to me with genuine appreciation for my feedback. My only worry about how good this restaurant is, is that I might struggle getting a table there.

“Another well deserved lunch....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Myself and partner were coming through Rathfarnham after having cycled, what seemed like an eternity. Anyway decided to pop into this establishment for a bite to eat. Nice warm welcome by cute waiter and decided to sit out back as was such a lovely day. Ordered the chicken and bacon salad, partner had organic chicken sandwich served with crisps. A nice glass of sauvignon blanc went down well. Great value, nice ambience and relaxing, quiet area out back. Salad was plentiful with sundried tomatoes, a lovely cucumber relish and roasted cashew nuts added to the salad, chicken and bacon. Would gladly go back and perhaps enjoy an evening meal.

“Busy little cafe/restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We had very nice lunch in this busy little cafe/restaurant. The service is very attentive and the food is good and reasonably priced. They tend to go a bit heavy with their dressings so you may want to get dressings on the side. I'd recommend the room in the back if you prefer a quiet meal or better still, sit out the back if you get a nice day.

“A little gem - small really works in this case”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

A delayed fathers day treat turned out to bear out recommendation I had from a friend who is a regular. 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed a truly lovely - yes that is in the name - meal.
I had the chicken salad to start, followed by the well recommended pork belly, which was one of the best I have ever had.
The restaurant seats only about 24 but works well.
Service was excellent, as was the Rioja wine.
We will definitely return & often.
