Owner description: Peadar Kearney’s on Dame street is a traditional pub with strong historic roots. The pub is named after a musician who composed Abhrán na BhFiann (The Irish national anthem). We continue this tradition with nightly traditional, toe tapping music. One of the regular musicians, Brian Brody, is a must see for any tourist visiting the city. He’s a one man atmosphere machine. There’s a basement bar downstairs when upstairs overflows, which also caters to most sporting events. If you’re looking for somewhere with temple bar music and atmosphere without the prices, take a look at Peadar’s.

“Another fine night!”
Reviewed June 12, 2014

Visited this pub once again and it never fails to impress me. Excellent atmosphere and with Brian Brody providing the entertainment, I cannot describe how good this pub is. A must to anyone in the Temple Bar area.

“Great Craic”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

Go to Peadar Kearneys for a great atmosphere, Brilliant craic and a night of great music. It is just around the corner from Temple Bar but has'nt got the astronomical prices. Brian Brody is a great musician and gives it all to the audience. As a true Dub I was amazed that there is still a traditional pub of this calibre in the city centre that is welcoming and friendly. It really is worth a visit

This pub was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Dublin. They have friendly staff, good prices and excellent live music!!! I was there for St. Patrick's day and had a absolute blast!

“Gone downhill over the last few years”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

We used to go in here a bit a couple of years back, and it was a lovely spot, but I noticed a big change when I returned last week. They've taken a lot of the seating out [you can squeeze more in standing] and it's got dirty. It's like a bar you'd find in the back-of-beyonds down in Kerry. The drink must be a bit cheaper also, as the crowd seemed like they were taking their drink seriously, however I didn't think it was cheap!! Try somewhere else if you want a bit of comfort, in nice surroundings. Don't confuse "traditional" with "dirty"!!
