Description: San Lorenzo’s is a modern Italian restaurant on Georges Street in the centre of Dublin city, close to Temple Bar at the downtown end of the culinary-famous Camden Mile. Grafton Street shopping, Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral and Trinity College are all within a few minutes’ walk of our front door. We welcome walk-in diners. Our weekend brunch is a staple of the Dublin social scene; it’s a buzzing hub of Irish metropolitan dining. High-quality ingredients and a laid-back style offer a smart treat for discerning visitors seeking the finest Italian restaurant in the Irish capital. If you are in quest of a cool and contemporary eatery for a business lunch or dinner, you can be assured that San Lorenzo’s is dedicated to delivering prompt and consistent quality and service every time. We offer superior quality Italian food with a NYC twist for lunch and dinner…and of course our famous weekend brunch!

“Nice food, poor seating arrangements”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

Was there on a deal. Food was lovely and service was excellent but the seating arrangements are awful. Midway through our meal a couple of girls sat beside us and we were treated to a long one-sided conversation on upcoming wedding, honeymoon plans. We might as well have been sitting at the same table. The layout of the place would put me off a return visit.

“Good, simple food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

I popped into San Lorenzo's in the early evening and selected from the early bird menu. My starter of prosciutto was delicious and of really good quality. The main course, 'zuppa di pesce' was also very tasty. Overall, the food was not hugely adventurous but the fact that such simple dishes tasted so good is a reflection of the quality of the ingredients.

“Always delivers on great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

This is a restaurant we use fairly regularly and it never disappoints! It doesnt pretend to be anything other than a relaxed, buzzy easy space which delivers great food consistently.
There is plenty of competition in this market within walking distance San Lorenzo and yet it is always busy and while you may have to wait for your table, once you are seated service is prompt without being intrusive, efficient without being offhanded and overall it is a most pleasant experience.
I would highly recommend the prawns, the chicken, and the steak though one of our party was put off having the lamb as it was on the menu as ' Achill black faced lamb....' too much detail for our tender hearted friend!
Finally a little quirkiness in that the washrooms, which are communal, have an interesting view directly into the kitchens below while you wash your hands!
We will of course be back.

“Poor service ,good food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

The excellent food deserves a much more customer orientated team .I am rarely critical of staff as I understand how difficult the service industry can be ( see my previous reviews ) but last Saturday in the restaurant the litany of poor customer interactions were beyond comprehension .A delay in being asked for our menu choices even though we were on a set time to have to leave ! Staff offering desert when only the first course had been consumed and delicious it was ,staff running past the table and saying 'how's the meal?'A staff member calling a member of our party ( old enough to be her mother ? Maybe ?"lovey!") This just is not good enough to the kitchen team who are producing good food ,guys you are letting down your colleagues ! and the potential of the restaurant .Your service does not reflect the food !so here I am complaining about it instead of telling you about the culinary experience ,You may be seen as a good restaurant but believe me you could be great ! but maybe you do not care ?

“Great Brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Had brunch in San Lorenzo's last Sunday. Very enjoyable. Good honest food in the Huevos Rancheros and very tasty too. My partner had the Stack of French Bread with Bacon and Maple Syrup. A very generous portion and good quality bread too. Looking forward to a return visit.
