Minimalist decor is fine; bed was comfortable. But with no air conditioning, it was sweltering in June ... unimaginable what it would be like to stay in a stifling, breeze-free room in August. And the wi-fi charge is just stupid. All the pubs and cafés have it for free.

It isn't convenient to a thing, but that's not something for which you can hold management accountable. The other things are.

Room Tip: Stay away June through September.

Hi BoB K,
Thanks for writing a review. We are sorry to hear you had an uncomfortable stay.
You are right in saying there has been a heatwave recently in Dublin, as it is the first for us for us in ten years so we are all very excited about it - and as a result, most of Ireland is not really set up for the sunshine as it is so rare! I guess we will be back to the all Summer long rain and cold again soon!!!
And some other good news - the Internet is free now!!!
I hope we get to welcoming you back again some day.
My best regards,
Fiona and all the team.

Stayed at the Pembroke Townhouse when in Dublin for a quick visit last week on a recommendation of a friend.
Rooms were clean & tidy, good location (15 min walk away from shops & downtown), excellent breakfast with care taken with providing homemade food & treats was really good.
Drawbacks were no free Wifi & staff not friendly - which was surprising as everywhere else in Ireland the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful and everywhere we stayed Wifi was provided free.
If the staff were more personable & welcoming, this would have changed our whole stay.

Dear Jacq38,
We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and sorry to hear you felt our staff unhelpfree - something we strive for.
And some good news - Wi-fi is free now!!
I hope we get the opportunity to welcome you on another occasion.

Pembroke Townhouse in Dublin was where we stayed for our first three nights in the Republic of Ireland. Our agent Bob Baker at AAA Travel picked it for us, and it was perfect. Well managed by Fiona, the Owner, clean, great breakfasts, homemade cakes at the front desk when you come in at night and every one of the employees that we came in contact was positive and helpful.
Fiona told us to down the street to eat dinner at a pizza restaurant at it was great. Thank you, Fiona and staff for starting our vacation in the plus column.

We stayed for two nights at the end of a two week golf tour of Ireland. It was the best breakfast we had in Ireland and we liked them all. The location provided a pleasant 20 minute walk to Grafton Street and downtown. Service was always friendly and good. Although the room was small it was not cramped and the two sitting rooms on the main floor provided a quiet place for a glass of wine and conversation with our friends who were also staying at the Pembroke.

To be honest, is perfect, but unfortunately the rooms madre me not put 100% rating. Incredible breakfast (try the irish one), the cakes thef made are wonderful too. The location is good, not that clase to downtown, but walkable. The aviva stadium is pretty close.
