“It is now CLOSED!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2011

We had the groupon, phone number, yet nobody was answering the thing. This has happened before and we have managed to get a table so we went along anyhow. On the way, we began to read the reviews of the place and began the debate of shall we go somewhere else? Finally, we decided, we know how bad it can be, so let's just go with no expectations whatsoever, it can only get better? Oh really? It got better alright. The place was CLOSED! And going by all the previous reviews, we had one lucky escape.

“A Disaster : Avoid”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2011

I wish I could concur with the previous reviews about the food. Sadly after booking 4 days in advance we arrived to what looks like a community centre with tables crammed in for some local charity bash. After being left sitting at the bar for 5 minutes ignored we eventually were shown to our table and then told the only steak avaialble was rib-eye. So we shrugged our shoulders and ordered. My friend said the proseco tasted like it was watered down with 7-up.
The waitress who was hassled and not putting people at ease retured to inform us sorry the kitchen was out of steak and offered us our drinks for free and we left.
I could see the kitchen from the bar.... I've seen cleaner.

“You will end up talking to your neighbouring table about just how bad this place is”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2011

So it seems this place is currently running on Groupon vouchers which I would have thought are all about driving return business. I cannot image how ANYONE would want to go back (this is nothing to do with the price!). Upon arrival we were asked if we had the voucher in a tone similar to 'papers please' then had our table pointed to (no welcome/walk over to table). From there it was just a farse - bad service (you'll be waiting for it!), food (2 out of the 5 main courses were available and they were dire) and hilarious conversations - "could I have the wine list please" ........."yes" - then brings back a glass of wine and walks off. Even the toilets were a mess I had to ask some poor couple to move to ask to squeeze by and I'd say that the poor couple sat at that table got to see more of the toilet than their food!
Seriously guys - kudos for surviving this long without being closed down"

“Worst meal ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2011

Went last night to this dingy "canteen". The place looked like it was opened in the sixties. Cheap hi-fi playng Sinatra all the time we were there. Looked in bad need of painting (or possibly cleaning. Very limited menu. We ordered fillet steaks on a Saturday evening to be sold they had none. They were too dear this week. Instead they served us miserable 5 - 6oz Sirloins (€22 each!!) and a glass of what they called Proscecca (really cheap, very sweep Soumantw). We asked for a winelist. They didn't have one. We asked for a glass of red wine. They apologised all they had was really cold as it had been put in fridge by mistake. We couldn't wait to get out. A Saturday night dinner was had in 35 minutes.Do not go here under any circumstances.

“Hilariously bad”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2011

Same coupon story as the others. Only sirloin steak, no prosecco. Looks like it runs only to sell deal meals. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't take cash!
