Pictures nothing like the real thing. Made you pay before even going to your room. Beds were stiff, no fresh clean towels, creepy place, very noisy. I could go on and on. Don't stay here. Oh...and the breakfast is crap.

Booked room 8 months in advance, you think this would have secured a good room, obviously not. Entrance of the hostel was nice, staff member who greeted us nice, stairs down to the basement bedrooms nicely tiled, however that's where the niceness ends. I can only describe our bedroom as "the dungeon". The room had no windows and contained 2 dark brick walls to really give you that dungeon feeling, the lament floor was held together in places with electric tape, there was a brick sized hole in the wall above where the bed was located, where this lead to or what it was for???? There were 3 bathrooms located in the basement, the smallest bathroom had what seemed to be a disastrous attempt to install an extractor fan located above the toilet which had no cover and full of mold, the next toilet had the toilet's seat taped down with copious amounts of masking tape? The 3rd bathroom was the best of a bad bunch, it was clean and vastly bigger than the rest, tiled but holes in the walls. Asked if we could change rooms but told no other non en suite rooms available but should the bookings for the en suite rooms not turn up they would move us. We just ended up staying in the room, moved the bed away from the wall with the big hole in it, must say that the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful, however not enough tables in the dining room to facilitate all the residents!!!! It was extremely cheap but I think it was below standard, the bedrooms upstairs may be of better quality ie look like the rooms on their website. Location is superb, close to city centre, bus station and Croke Park.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not given a basement room.

We stayed for one night, the room was very basic but clean, quiet( as it was a back room i guess)
and everything worked fine. Car park was secure and close by .Breakfast was poor and the ambiance reminded me of a roomset from Father Ted.. We were asked twice to pay before the check out time which is 12.00. I was in the middle of my breakfast when the guy asked me to pay after i finished even though it wasn't even 11.00, we were put off by that and coming down the stairs once again i was being nagged to pay, it felt very out of place and we couldn't wait to get out.. Note to the owners: You should ask your guests to pay up front if you're so worried they gonna ran off without pay.

Room Tip: Room no. 4 is very quiet as its away from the traffic.

The pictures of the place are much nicer than the reality. It was adequate and clean in a good location, but there was lots of street noise, it was tiny (to say the least), and the breakfast was adequate. That being said. . .it was certainly adequate and safe for what we wanted/needed. We didn't spend much time in our room or the hotel, as our time was short and there was much to see and drink.

It was very centrally located to the Dart and the bus station. It's on a street with many B&B's so when we arrived and were orienting ourselves (poorly I might add) we asked someone for guidance and they were able to easily direct us to our destination...a street away.

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was sweltering when we arrived, and the girl on duty gave us tools so we could adjust the radiator. They also allowed us to leave our backpacks the second day, when we checked out, so we could have the day unencumbered, which we greatly appreciated. Free Wi-Fi was great and overall it was a good stay.

Room Tip: Bring ear plugs and an eye mask.

Not what you would expect. The website they have polishes the image of the hotel quite a bit. Ok the room was mostly clean. The carpet was dirty and partly loose. Curtains were also dirty, looked like someone’s dinner had exploded there. There was a crack in the window and the shower was poor. Also the bathroom floor was really dirty looking, didn't want to walk there with bare feet. The noise from the street was loud and constant. The window was so thin and poor, we actually first thought it was left open. It wasn't. So bring along some earplugs!
The good side of our stay was friendly and helpful staff. The room was really warm at nights, which was lovely surprise after chilly day in Dublin. Also the location is great. 5 minutes walk to train station and to O'Connell street. Also if you are travelling with a budget, this is very reasonable stay at the heart of Dublin.
