“Basic to good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

Found this place by asking while booking theatre tickets whether the box-office staff could recommend. Mrs. Me only wanted a starter so we didn't go for "early bird" specials. In the event her Bruschetta was tasty but not hot. My chicken fettucine in mushroom and white wine sauce was very good - and hot. Wine was very good Frascati at a fair price for Dublin, and they stocked Pellegrino water . THe waitress actually "downsold" my main choice and there was no showbiz sprinkling of parmesan - parmesan supplied and left on table. Card machine was claimed to be "down" at bill settling time and I had to go 50 yards for cash leaving Mrs.Me as security. We would return if in the area.

“Little Italian restaurant, to be tried!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

We found this restaurant by chance while strolling around O'Connell, and returned a few times during our stay. Very good lunch deal - a starter (soup or garlic bread), a main (mostly pasta or pizza, with a couple of meat / chicken options) and a soft drink for €10.95. The minestrone (typical Italian vegetable soup) was impeccable and the pizzas were very tasty, albeit tending to the American version. Cozy atmosphere and good service. The place seems to be popular with locals too.

“Good food, little elbow room”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

Having no reservation we dined here on a Sunday night. We were seated quickly at the front of the restaurant, where the tables were tightly packed! Service was good. The starters were tasty, I ordered smoked salmon salad which was enormous! The main courses were equally huge with the calzone being one of the best my partner had tasted. Only downside was being a little squashed.
