“Bad food, worse service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Avoid at all cost!

Sat for half an hour before we were given water, ten minutes later we got water glasses, another ten we were dictated our menu.

Vegetarian in our party was told they don't cater for vegetarians which she said was fine. When they realised they would be losing a few quid, they started saying they would cater for her, refused to say what they would serve and that she would eat what she was given.

Food was cold on the inside and burnt on the outside.

Glasses were greasy.

If you like way overpriced food and extremely rude service then Rigby's could be the place for you.

“This is real food, authentic and damn delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

Original dishes prepared from choice ingredients, the owner chef is authentic and real, yes a tad rough about the edges. He gives a lot to his craft and it shows.

If you like to have your menu forgotten and have to sit and listen to the chef/manager berate his staff this is the place for you.

“Try it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

A group of six of us went to Rigby's last Saturday night for dinner. Of note it is a bring your own bottle establishment but there is a lovely wine shop next door called Louis Albrouse and if you mention that you are eating in Rigby's they give you a 10% discount off your purchase. Anyway back to Rigby's,booking is advisable as they were turning people away on Sat night. There was a choice of two starters and two mains. I had goats cheese and parma ham starter which was delicious,a fish platter was also available. For my main course I chose Hake which was very tasty and there was a chicken main also on offer. We finished with a great cheese plate, good variety and one of our party had the chocolate desert which she declared to be the best mouse she had ever tasted. The noise level was quite high but we certainly contributed to that. My advice give it a try.
