The Little Museum is a collection of ephemera from over 100 years of Dublin city life; from Queen Victoria's showboating arrival at Kingstown to boost army numbers for the Boer War to Bono's early showboating performances 80 years later. Our guide was terrific; creating a heady and pacy mix of trivia questions, social and political comment and machine gun statistics and quotations. If you were picky you might suggest that he never let the history get in the way of a good line of patter. But the patter is polished, whimsical, self-critical, edgy and downright interesting - just like the city it celebrates. Great value and a genuinely warm and generous welcome from the staff.
