The Little Museum is a collection of ephemera from over 100 years of Dublin city life; from Queen Victoria's showboating arrival at Kingstown to boost army numbers for the Boer War to Bono's early showboating performances 80 years later. Our guide was terrific; creating a heady and pacy mix of trivia questions, social and political comment and machine gun statistics and quotations. If you were picky you might suggest that he never let the history get in the way of a good line of patter. But the patter is polished, whimsical, self-critical, edgy and downright interesting - just like the city it celebrates. Great value and a genuinely warm and generous welcome from the staff.

This mueseum is a must see for Dubliners and visitors alike. The tour guides are excellent at their job, with their knowledge and storytelling. This was my second time to visit and there were new exhibits and great stories told about them. A lot of the items from the 70's and 80's brought back great memories for me and my partner. There is a coffee shop ( The Hatch) downstairs which is very good and you get 10% discount off your bill with your mueseum admission receipt. I would highly recommend this attraction and will visit again.

Who knew Ireland (and more specifically, Dublin) had such a rich and interesting history? Of course, we knew of the basics, but the Little Museum of Dublin's guided tour gives you the full picture - from the early days in Dublin through the rebellion and up through modern day. It's a neat little museum and definitely worth a visit. And while you're there, be sure to find out about the "City of a Thousand Welcomes", where a local Dubliner will take you out for tea or a pint and give you all the inside tips of Dublin that can help you plan your trip!

Had a very enjoyable visit last week with a friend. Excellent tour guide, amusing and informative, (sorry I can't remember his name, may have been Adam?). I think a visit here would be equally interesting to both locals and tourists. In fact, it would be a lovely introduction to Dublin for tourists coming to Ireland. Tours are held on the hour, but you are free to look around afterwards to look more closely at some of the exhibits the guide spoke about. There is a nice little restaurant downstairs and you can get a discount there after your visit. I would certainly recommend the little museum to anyone I know and hope to take my grandson there soon.

What would be a small museum of primarteret to Dubliners, is made memorable by the contextual guided tour each hour ( on the hour).A museum for the people well worth supporting.
