“Excellent B&B”

Excellent place to stay in Dublin. Gerry helped us out with what to do and see and even found a place for us to repair a flat tire! And use of a fast internet was a big plus. Would love to visit again!

We (my daughter and her friend) and I had two great nights at Beech Lodge. Gerry could not have been more helpful, informing me that I should buy three day bus passes for each of us which covered us for getting from the airport and all around Dublin. He also told us about a great pub for Irish music for sunday lunch: Olivier st. john Gogarty.

The two rooms were extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a very generous range of cooked breakfasts, cereal and fruit and as much coffee as you wanted!

The B and B is very conveniently placed for both the airport and for getting into town (about 15mins maximum )and there are plenty of buses.

I would thoroughly recommend this very reasonably priced B and B to anyone.

Gilly

Our family of 3 stayed here in early November, 2012. Gerry was a great host and was able to give us valuable information above our stay in Dublin including places to see and not to see. The B&B is located close to downtown Dublin and has easy access to the city using the public buses that stop very near the home. We rented a car and drove to Beech Lodge from the airport, but we left the car parked for the 3 days and 2 nights that we stayed here. By the way, the accomodations are very nice, clean and comfortable. WIFI worked great throughout the house and this was not the case in other B&Bs that we stayed in. The Irish breakfast selections are very delicious and we looked forward to them every day of our visit. You can't go wrong staying here. It is definitely on the top of our list for the next time that we visit Dublin.

My family of 4 just spent 3 nights at the Beech Lodge. My husband and I had one room and our 20 year old twin daughters had a double. Pictures do not do the Beech Lodge justice. It is simply lovely and so very welcoming. Our rooms were very nice, immaculately clean and soooo comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and there was a lot of variety -- Gerry had something for everyone. In addition, the attention to detail in the table settings and throughout the breakfast service just made us all feel like very special family! Gerry could not have been more helpful in helping us to understand the bus system and in planning our days. If I am in Dublin again, and I hope to be, this would be my #1 choice of places to stay. Thank you Gerry for the wonderful hospitality and the beautiful accommodations!

We were really happy with our stay at Beech Lodge in November 2012. The host, Gerry was very welcoming and helpful in helping us to find our way to buses and local pubs. Our room was well appointed - comfy bed and pillows, and we had an ensuite which was small but had everything in it. There is central heating in the place, but we also used the plug in heater in our room for the cold mornings (-2 degrees one morning). We tried both local pubs and preferred the one called Hole in the Wall for best food and local atmosphere. Breakfast was included in the rate and we were not disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. Garry's Irish breakfast, complete with soda bread was to die for. Will definitely stay there next time we're in Dublin!

We stayed at the Beech Lodge for three nights in July of 2012. The room was beautifully decorated, spotless, and very well kept. We had never been to Dublin before and loved staying shortly outside the city rather than the Temple Bar area. Gerry was an incredible host. Breakfast was excellent every morning, he was accommodating to our schedule, and provided great recommendations. There are two wonderful pubs/restaurants within walking distance that had both excellent food and company. My boyfriend and I are both 20-somethings and enjoy going out and we found the local (walking distance) pubs far superior to the over-hyped bars in the center of Dublin. Beech Lodge was a perfect place to stay to sample the real Dublin, not the manufactured touristy areas. I could not more highly recommend this B&B and the prices were exceptionally reasonable for the wonderful accommodations.
