i rank this church as the nicest i have ever seen.photos adorn the walls of the entrance including eamon develera and Noel Purcell who on his deathbed sent for a carmelite priest.the priest gave him his last rites.noel said ''tell your gaffer im ready to meet Him now.''
a huge crib was a highlight as well as a casket bearing the remains of st.valentine and a statue of our lady of dublin

Difficult to locate, but still within walking distance of Temple Bar. Lovely old church with the obligatory & delightful little gift shop, if one is so disposed. Went to visit this church as this is the only, other than in an 11th Century Church at Rockamadour France, that has a Black Madonna. Was lucky the visit coincided with a service, gave the experience a spiritual feel.

The area where St. Valentine is, is not well marked and smaller than expected. Even though service was not in session, the number of church-goers made the visit awkward.

The church itself is not as ornate as so of the others, but still a great experience. We were on our honeymoon and it was suggested to go here for St Valentine. Difficult to walk to.
