Highly recommended. Beautiful gardens, free entry and great cafe. They also appear to have events on, missed an Irish music concert by a day. Would check out website when I vist again

The botanic gardens is a tranquil zone near the city centre. It is a fantastic location for relaxation, photography, art and for learning about all kinds of plants. There are often activities for youngsters which engage them in learning about nature. The green-houses are amazing as is the overall design of the various beds. I just love it, it's free - 2€ to park and a lovely coffee shop to enjoy afterwards

went to the botanic garden today ,how beautiful and well kept and free, you can spend hours there just wandering around the gardens or the greenhouses, there is a carpark provided and it only cost 2euro for the whole time you are there, the restaurant on site is very well presented and very relaxing after your walk around,i would recommend this as a must see in dublin when you just want to escape the busy streets
