Beautiful gardens, good tearoom, really interesting exhibition of quilting in the Visitor Centre. And it was free!

“One of Dublin's hidden treasures”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

The National Botanic Gardens is certainly one of Dublin's hidden treasures. It was one of the three major botanic gardens of the old British Empire and has thankfully been kept in prime condition since Ireland became independent. The old fashioned greenhouses have been lovingly restored and the variety of plants is breathtaking. Well worth a visit on any trip to Dublin.

Lovely way to spend a warm afternoon. Lots of unusual plants and sometimes art or sculpture exhibitions.

“Lots to see”

Worth a visit - especially as it's free entry. The rose garden is beautiful, and lots of interesting sculptures dotted around.
