Lovely botanic gardens inside glasses houses and beautiful outdoor gardens. We thought the parking was free and we only realized they charge 2 euros when we were leaving, you have to pay it in coins.

“Beautiful Gardens all Year Round”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

The gardens are a lovely oasis in the city. They are well maintained and there is something there for all tastes from Japanese gardens (my personal favorite), rose gardens, ponds with ducks and fabulous Victorian greenhouse.

The greenhouse is like a tropical island with banana trees, cactus, and many other plants from hot climates.

There is also a nice restaurant with a view of the gardens which is a pleasure to sit in, sip coffee and look at the greenery outside.

You could easily spend hours in the gardens walking around or sitting on a bench watching the world go by.

The only flaw if it is one, is the distance from the city centre but it is still worth the 15 or 20 minute bus ride from O'Connell Street.

Excellent glass houses.

Nice self service cafe.

Some of the open air displays were not at their best.

A perfect way to spend time in dublin. All well maintained, greenhouses sculpture and rose garden are highlights.

Walled garden fascinating and in development.

Restaurant has nice food offering. Staff friendly. Maps good too. See what's on in advance before visiting.
