Pretty bridge, gets you to the other side of the Liffey whilst providing a nice view of it. Directly opposite the bridge is an arch & alley which takes you direct into the middle of the Temple Bar area :)

just a beautifull bridge, but it does connects to good side of the city. one side you go through the alley straight into the middle of Temple Bar , on the other side you get into the heart of henry street at Jervis shopping :)

Had to visit this bridge, cute padlock idea and also another custom to spit into the Liffey from here for luck!!
However, I witnessed a pickpocket gang stalking (like jackals), some young girls who were waiting to cross the road - the traffic lights take a long time for you to wait....these druggy gang females were about to mug one of them and I ran after them and shouted - they then melted into the crowd quickly and crossed further up the road. They were being directed by mobile phone by men lurking in doorways. This is not nice - No guarda to be seen anywhere!!

This famous bridge is grungy and dirty. The Dubliners have also not spent a ha'penney cutting off the stupid padlocks some love struck fools clamp onto the rails and arches. Overall, its far from attraactive as a bridge. The only upside is during the Christmas season they decorate it with lights so at night its pretty. But otherwise, its a dump, grungy bridge.
