Our curiosity was aroused by the fact that there was only two, rather dated, but very positive reviews about this place. So we headed there for a late breakfast. Immediately, the word pretentious came to mind, but that's probably not quite the right description.
The menu looked like some of the furniture, old and worn, pretending to be antic. But this was not a style -- this menu was of a rather unappetising look and feel, like it had not been replaced for five years or more. But there was a few other customers in the place that had eaten already, and they looked reasonably healthy, so we ordered and the food turned out ok. But then, how wrong can you go with a Ciabatta and a Caesar Salad. The cappuccino was what it said on the bill: med (for mediocre).
The waitress didn't even bother wiping the table next to us after clearing it. After a while (what I would guess was) the owner came in and cleaned up after her.
It didn't really come as a surprise that the soap dispenser in the toilet was empty.
No idea about the gallery part. Didn't see one. At this stage we didn't bother to ask about it.
Needless to say, we did not leave a tip.
