“Great location and service”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Right in the center of nightlife. A little noisy but convenient and worth the money. Good and rich breakfast. Beds were too soft but we had the best time in the pubs around and sleeped like kids.Team were more than helpful and friendly. Trinity college just around the corner and so does a big car park.

Room Tip: Best location and friendly ,helpful service

We got a great deal and for the price felt we got value for money. Location is right in the centre of Dublin. Wifi very good and staff friendly. Be aware you will probably hear noise but a small price to pay.

If you only have a few days in Dublin, this is the place to stay. You can walk to all of the tourist attractions as well as many great restaurants. Many complain about noise, but we did not have that problem and we had the window open the entire time. Staff is great! Very helpful. Breakfast is OK. Would stay here again.

This was an overnight stay on a business trip and I just wanted a bed for the night ... late arrival, early departure. The location is right in the middle of Temple Bar so very central, very accessible and of course as a consequence it was quite noisy in the evening, and late at night, and into the early morning. There's no air con in the rooms so I had to leave windows open during this hot Summer period so its a trade-off ... (relative) silence with windows closed ... or noisy but cooler. Take your pick.

There's good bandwidth free WiFi throughout, and the breakfast is very good value and has all you'd want for a fast breakfast. The room was spacious but felt a little worn, like it had seen just a couple too many of the stag nights and hen parties, but at less than 90 quid (Irish slang for the unit of currency) it was pretty good value for what you got, and the location

Room Tip: There is no quiet side to this hotel

Dear Alan S,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay at the Temple Bar Hotel and thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you experienced some noise disruption and did not have the best sleep. Accept our sincere apologies. Due to being so centrally located we do have some levels of noise coming from the streets and businesses around us. Unfortunately it is not always possible to keep the noise away but we do have inner courtyard rooms that do not have street noise and would be considered quiet. As for air cons we do not have them but we try to deal with this exceptionally hot weather that has finally arrived to Ireland. To deal with this we have fans available on request.
Thank you for complementing us on our breakfast and WiFi. Breakfast does come at a good value and we have only recently upgraded our WiFi so it would be available throughout the hotel to all our guests at free of charge.
We will investigate the room you have stayed in and make sure that any issues it might have will be dealt immediately.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and I hope this would not deter you from returning to the Temple Bar Hotel in the future.

Kind regards,
Guy Thompson, General Manager

Can't rate this hotel highly enough if you get a good deal. We stayed in a double room for 60 bnb which is great for Dublin! The bar attached to the hotel is really nice n apparently has great whiskey! Rooms are basic but the free nightclub and location Makes up for it

We stayed here for my friends belated 60th birthday treat.....I emailed beforehand to ask if we could have a quiet room. We were given room 404, and apart from some background noise from the hotel a/c, it was great! No street noise at all. Yet we were right in the middle of all the action, so to speak. We stayed from a Monday to Wednesday.
The hotel supplied a bottle of bubbly as requested, and were very discreet when we booked in so that it was a complete surprise for my friend. They also sent her a little card from the hotel.......lovely little touches.

The food for breakfast was fresh and tasty. All of the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them......we will definitely use this hotel again I we return to Dublin.
We went on a couple of trips, which the hotel staff were happy to book for us too.
Everywhere was clean and tidy. Towels changed daily.

A very pleasant, relaxing break.

Room Tip: Room 404. Back of the hotel. Top floor.

I stayed at Temple Bar Hotel in July and December last year (2012). It is located absolutely perfectly for every type of need. It has shops, bars, restaurants, tourist attractions nearby. It has attached the best sports bar in the whole of Dublin and a nightclub as well (both noisy and lively inside but do not affect your nights sleep in your room). The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean, well kitted out and perfect for couples, groups of friends or families. I am currently booking my next trip there now. Truly fantastic - thank you Temple Bar Hotel for everything.
